One of my favorite players. Hope they do the right thing and give him that 1-day contract.

One of my favorite as well. One day contract can't hurt, and will give us more PR, and good press contrary to the notion that no one wants to become a Phin anymore.

    Do it up.

Yeah loved him, he's been the best receiver I've watched in a fins uniform (which is kinda sad), get it done.

He gave us hope at WR since the Mark brothers along with Ingram. Dolphins please do this, he deserves it!!!

He was fun to watch .Those spectacular circus catches almost made up for his inconsistency and drops.

He will not make our ring of honour but if he wants to retire a Dolphin we should oblige him.

Besides the Marks brothers we can never forget Paul Warfield the best WR we ever had.

loved watching him play, but as far as Miami WRs/TEs, he wouldn't even crack my top 10

I really liked watching him play, all that potential. If he could only have found a better eye doctor...(I'm serious). :shifty:

With Randy McMichaels at TE, and Marty Booked at WR, the had a lot of good weopons.

I think that goes to show he was always a Dolphin at heart wherever he played. Give him his wish, what would it hurt.

Chambers was my favorite player along with Thomas growing up and he totally deserves this. IMO.....definitely one of the best WR to play for the fins and that's with rotating QB's through out most of his career. Fans always loved him and he will always be a fin

This is basically the "Pass Go! Collect $200", no-brainer opportunity, for team owners to occasionally garner some unimpeachable merit among their fanbase.

Ross is one of the billionaire owners, in dire need to collect.

How much better do you guys think Chambers career would have been if they just selected Brees instead of Fletcher? Would the coaching staff at the time f-up Brees' development?

Marty still had game when we traded for him. I honestly thought on that day he was our best WR since Fryar. He has huge hands and they were like glue. Unfortunately he wasn't able to repeat for us the best years he had in Chicago.

He would have been the same guy who would drop the ball. I'm not a Fiedler defender, but Chambers would often drop the ball even when it hit him right in the hands. Chambers is easily the most overrated player we've had in recent memory. Gimme Oronde Gadsden over Chambers any day of the week.

I smoldered for years after Cameron made that stupid trade which turned out to be Chad Henne. Nothing against Henne especially, but it was a stupid trade.

The Chiefs released him a year after signing him to a 3 year, $15 million deal. Doesn't sound like they did so because he couldn't do the job.

8 years in Cleveland and 5 in Miami, so it isn't a big surprise to me that he said that.

Derrick Mason just retired a Raven so length of stay doesn't necessarily equal favorite career team. With this situation I guess it could go either way. It doesn't surprise me he said Cleveland but Miami wouldn't have surprised me either since he was a part of something special there.

Just read this in my local newspaper this morning. Terrence Copper, graduated from the school in my county and went on to play for ECU, then got drafted into the NFL. Now he's playing for the Chiefs as WR. He brought some of his teammates to my hometown to do a camp for the kids and the newspaper had this article about it.

    http://www.wdnweb.com/2012/06/16/a-bunch-of-happy-campers/

If you read it, Chris Chambers was there, and if you look at the picture, he's the only guy not in a Chief's hat, and instead is in his Miami Dolphin gear. Pretty sweet.

When we traded away Chambers and then Welker I was so mad. We had a decent group of receivers and broke them up for no reason. I still don't understand the reasoning.
