I like how the media keeps saying the Miami Heat "Parade down South Beach".
Even though they were clearly in downtown.

 

To the national media, South Beach is the only thing in Miami. We're a mile long stretch of sand with some art deco shops and a mansion that used to belong to a dead guy. That's it.

They don't even know what a Fort Lauderdale is, so don't expect them to distinguish between "South Beach" and "downtown Miami". But of course they expect you to know every inch of Manhattan.

Ray Allen would be a dream other than him I would probably take a risk on Greg Oden if we really wanted a big man. Jason Terry could maybe be an option also pending on money.

The guy who wrote this is the Head Men's Coach at my alma matta here in RI, the guy knows his stuff when it comes to Ball, granted not D1 but he is was an assistant at PC before getting this gig as HC, and at 39 it is only a matter of time before he gets a HC gig at the D1 level. 135-43 (.758) record.....

so when I saw this tweet (whom I advise you to follow him because he is funny as sh$t, and smart when it comes to the game), I was like ayyyyy another Heat hater....

I agree. Especially on the bit about tempering Lionel Chalmers's early celebration.Classic case of the media wrapping the narrative around the result. I bet the narrative of las year returns if Mark Miller and Shawn Battier fail to show up this postseason.

 

I agreed with some of the piece but disagree with his take on maturation. Even Lebron himself said he looked in the mirror and changed a lot about himself.

 

I'm sure Sam feels great about not signing with the Heat right now.
