It was great to see DDP. I'm a big fan of his have an autographed copy of his book and a shirt, Plus you get to see the original diamond cutter not the imitation one of orton's. rest of the show I didn't care about.

I didnt think it was bad. AJ has the most defined chracater of maybe any woman in WWE history right now. And the promo work of the four main eventers to start the show was fantastic. Things could, and have been a lot worse.

I like what they're doing with the AJ character but she's not enough to keep my interest. To be honest she could be released tomorrow and I wouldn't bat an eye nor would I complain about it, her character is interesting but, and maybe it's just me, I don't need her as part of the Bryan/Punk angle. I could watch Punk and Bryan wrestle each other because of a shampoo commercial or just because they want to see who's better just as long as I get to see them go for 10 plus minutes a night.

And yes I agree the opening interview was great until the two duds showed up....

And I'm starting to get the feeling Triple H is going over Brock at Summer Slam.

Man all the young wwe fans are confused when they say DDP hit the RKO wondering why they called it the diamond cutter

Austin Aries became the TNA Heavyweight Champion last night, In a great match with Bobby Roode. TNA finally seems to be getting it right hopefully this won't be a 1 month thing.

Raw and Smackdown tonight in Denver. Not very excited to go. Anyone know of something happening tonight worth seeing?

I'm guessing nothing of note will happen tonight, outside of a random former WWE Legend coming back to beat on Heath Slater. The WWE seems to be saving everything for the 1000 episode of RAW in 2 weeks. So must likely you're going to see the same boring shows that they have been putting on for the past few months. Maybe you'll get lucky and see a Punk vs. Bryan match though.

Sadly that wasn't the worst thing that happened on RAW last night. The whole AJ/Punk/Bryan storyline really jumped the shark.

But seriously did you really think the pay off for the GM was going to be someone good? Especially after all this time? I guess Hornswoggle is the new "go to guy" for mysteries now instead of Vince as Horns has now been revealed as Vince's kid and the GM. I would have jumped to be in that writing session when Vince finally decided to reveal the GM it was probably funny as hell.

People will criticize it, but Cena winning was the best outcome to have for that match. It sets up Cena vs. Punk at Summerslam, which will also have HHH vs. Brock. In other words, the card will be pretty stacked on top. Which is a good thing in my opinion.

Not sure where Bryan goes from here as his quest to beat Punk for the title is likely done for now. Maybe back to Smackdown to chase Sheamus again, or a series of matches against Ziggler with the MitB briefcase on the line? I wouldn't mind seeing a Jericho-Bryan program of some sort. Whether that is a feud or a tag team.

Congrats to Dolph on the big win. It was to be expected, but good for him nonetheless.

Tonight should be an interesting Raw as it is the last one before the big move to 3 hours and of course, the 999th episode. Lots of storie sneed to be set up for Summerslam, so here is hoping they put the wheels in motion tonight as opposed to next week.

Haha good call, that one might go on last. It probably will now that I think about it. Poor Punk.

It'd be great for Punk to bring this up again in another "shoot" type interview. Sitting at the top of the ramp, spouting off about how over a year later, things aren't much better. Sure, he is the Champ, but that should go without saying since he is the best in the world. But what still bothers him is the fact that he can't even lay claim to being in the main event at each pay per view despite almost having the title for a year now. And all because of the WWE's love affair with stupid John Cena. Well he has beaten Cena just about every time he has faced him so he will just have to do it again and prove, AGAIN, that he deserves to be where he is.

I think it would make for some compelling reasons to kick start their feud again.

Wishful thinking, which I would love if Punk was the same character he was in the summer of 2011. His character is just so tame now. He needs an edge again. The WWE should use that as the main angle. In fact it would be great if Punk challenged Cena to the match, telling Cena he can keep his MiTB case for another time and won't have to cash it in that night.

I was one week shy from going to the 1000 raw. Only if Comic con was a week later Vegas may have had it this week. Also do they consider Chris Benoit death show a episode of raw? Anyway tonight could be the greatest Wrestling night in history if they don't screw it up. It cant be about Lesnar. he has to play a small role. They need to close the show with all the legends in the ring or something epic! I hope they dont screw it up. Make up for the crappy raws this summer.

    Any other Raw: Great show
1000th Raw: Let down for me. I was just hoping for this night, basically all the story lines would be dropped and it be one big Giant reunion, mix Attitude era and new era a bit. At the end have one big segment with Key players from that era, plus a lack of stone cold kind of sucked. I set expectations high and they were not met.

I loved the DX segment, loved the Kane, Taker, and wish they keep that story line going tbh, and LOVED LOVED LOVED Punk turning Heel. Should be interesting. Hated the stupid advertisements such as Sonic and them handing the fans the wrestling toys. Took away tv time. Charlie Sheen was a waste, it was painful to watch. Like he was watching the show. And if he was, he missed a lot when he went to get in and out. The Social media thing is over board. I HATE TOUT.

and I also Love AJ Being the GM

Punk heel turn last was very good, nice to finally see him be the last man standing. Rock sold it like he was shot when punk clotheslined him. Stone cold wasn't there because he had knee surgery on 7/2 and is still on crutches and said he wasn't coming down to the ring on crutches for raw 1000.

I guess I'm in the minority but I didn't like the Punk heel turn. We'll see I guess. This was obviously done so that they can easily put the title back on Cena before Royal Rumble.

3 hour RAWs have been brutal to watch too. Everything the WWE is doing now just lacks focus, everything is just so rushed too.

Yes they are rough, especially considering that an hour and a half of the program are commercials. I still don't really get the Punk heel turn. They have a wrestler turn into a big star last summer at a much needed time and it's like they just simply can't figure out what to do about it. This should be good for them and you feel like CM Punk's popularity has been a burden they have to try to account for in their story lines.

The problem with his heel turn is that he's in a program with The Big Show and Cena. He's not going to be boo'ed by the majority of people. I'm just glad he's somewhat got his edge back, he was watered down so much after Summer Slam last year that he was almost just another guy.

They already have a stable of potential new stars that are heels. They have guys like Ziggler, Del Rio, and Miz that they could potentially put in the spotlight and they are all firmly entrenched as heels. So what makes them decide they want to make Punk a heel again? Is WWE just going to become a long line of heels taking turns trying to beat John Cena? And they refuse to turn an idiot like Randy Orton heel. It's just hard for me to wrap my head around how they use some of their talent. And it seems they're at least partially turning Jericho into a face now. Wouldn't the ideal time to have done that have been when he returned in January, hot as a firecracker? Look at what they did with Christian last year. He has a ton of momentum and they turn him heel to put Randy Orton over. Now a year later they turn him face again when nobody cares.

Trying to justify or try to understand why the WWE does something won't get you anywhere. And you didn't even mention their #1 heel in the company is Brock Lesnar. Jericho is actually leaving the WWE soon to tour with his band so he's going to put Ziggler over, which is nice.
