He's been the best of the 3, that's for sure. He's such a consistent pitcher, it's ridiculous.

He's projected to allow less hits than innings pitched for the first time since 2002 as well.

    Graaaand Slaaaaaam.

Lots of talk on are the Marlins buyers or sellers. How could we be sellers with a new stadium and just acquiring Lee?

If I were the Marlins, I would stay neutral. But they've already traded for Lee...still don't understand that. I am not sure who they would trade to get pieces back. Maybe big Z if a team wanted to take a chance at him, but that's doubtful. Would have to jump at that opportunity.

Anibal Sanchez is our biggest trade asset. He could net us a nice return, especially if a team doesn't want to trade for Hamels because of his price.

You could also see Nolasco, Ramirez, Zambrano, Infante, or Choate moved if the price is right/we can convince a team to take them.

I think selling would send a terrible message to fans. I could see moving Nolasco for a steady bat. Thats about it. Or Ramirez if a team offers you something you can't refuse.

I can see where you are coming from, but the worst message is losing. You have to do what's best for the team. If they feel that selling is best for the team, they should sell. The fans will protest in the beginning but if we start winning they'll jump back on the bandwagon.

Anibal Sanhcez is. Nolasco isn't. He has one year left at 11.5, which makes him hard to move.

After tonight we will be 5 games out of the wild card, and there are some teams in front of us who have been dropping some games. At this point I would be very disappointed if they sell. However if the trade deadline is approaching and we are 10 games back or worse then I'm fine with it.

So this is going to be maybe a bit controversial but I propose this lineup.

    1) Hanley 3B
    2) Reyes SS
    3) Stanton RF
    4) Lee 1B
    5) Infante 2B
    6) Ruggiano/Morrison LF (Hot Bat)
    7) Bonifacio CF
    8) Buck C

It may seem a bit odd, but maybe hitting Hanley lead off could spark his bat a little.

OK. More understandable. In that case I would try everything in my power to trade Nolasco. Use the money to resign Sanchez. Don't think you can afford to lose him at this point.

Too bad no-one on planet earth would take Heat Bell for what he's making. Unless it was an equally overpaid undperforming aging hitter....f**k Id take that.

The first that needs to go is Ozzie. Dude is a GD clown. I dont think any player would want to play for him. Move him and we can talk about the players.

Ya thats what they say, i dont buy it. Nobody ever talks **** about his manager while he has the job. Wait til he gets fired and the truth comes out. Ozzie is a nutcase and I'd never allow him to coach my team. Thank God i'm a Yankees fan, Ozzie is the only reason I wouldnt root for Miami to play well. love a lot of their players

Thanks for that useless baseless opinion.

But they do love him. I'm not basing that on whatever sound bites the players gives the media. I'm basing that on firsthand information.

Because his production vs pay is like watching a fat kid and a tiny kid on a teeter totter. Hint: We are the skinny kid having no fun.

Also his production in general has been like a slide, going down.

    1. His production isn't too far off from his pay level. He was statistically a top 5 third baseman before the All Star break. (He's top 10 at this point still)

    2. He's been better this year than last.

    3. His peripherals for the most part are right in line with their career averages. I seriously doubt the first 5 years of his career were a fluke. He could get out of this one day.

Trading Hanley at his lowest value would be incredibly incredibly dumb. A fireable offense really.

I wouldn't trade him for peanuts. I'm saying if someone wanted to offer a "can't miss" prospect and a solid player, and it allowed us to make offseason moves to better our lineup all around...I wouldn't be so opposed to it.

Then why would you want to trade JJ? His value is absolute crap right now.

When I said I would trade Hanley first, I meant that in the "f*ck it, blow it up situation" you were referring to. Trade everyone but Stanton. I'm not going to include Hanley in that because there is a possibility he may not be that player anymore. His value isn't high but a team could be convinced he will pick it up so they could still give us a good return. On top of that, we'll he out of paying him 46 million over the next three seasons. There is a possibility he won't play well enough to deserve that much money.

"Ozzie's a great guy, I love him," Sale said. "He gave me nothing but opportunities. He fought for me. He was awesome. I loved playing for Ozzie, but like I said before it's a new year. We've got a new face in that manager's office and we're ready to move forward."

"We certainly cannot thank Ozzie enough for all he has done during his eight seasons as manager of the Chicago White Sox, highlighted by an unforgettable 2005 World Series championship," White Sox chairman Jerry Reinsdorf said in a release. "I personally appreciate everything he has done for this organization, our fans and the city of Chicago. We shared the greatest moments together and wish him nothing but future success in baseball and in life."

That's just two examples. One is a player. Another is a chairman. Then you have Buehrle following Guillen here from Chicago. Carlos Zambrano staying under control and saying he loves playing for Guillen. Guillen might be the most hated manager around, but it's not from most players.

Ya he was "loved" in Chicago too and they're pretty happy that he's no longer there. Actually I take that back, by the end it was pretty obvious he wasnt loved and he even had to comment on it in the media.

You guys love him then fine, I dont like the lunatic.

Show me proof, then. I don't care if you don't like him.

In the end, Kenny Williams wanted to run things. It was his relationship with Ozzie that made them part ways. The players loved him.

I'm phone posting so it is difficult to get specific examples right now but i distinctly recall ESPN airing him speaking about "if the players hate me i'm not worried about it" because it was fastly coming out that the players had grown tired of him.

It was so bad he had to make the excuse"my only concern is winning"as he knew his time was near and lost many of his guys.

That's not the feeling I'm getting by reading the reports. Jake Peavy praised him on his way out. The Chairman praised him. Chris sale praised him. He still talks to A.J Pierzynski and Paul Konerko.

Point is, they loved him, even after he left. They praised him. His issues were with Kenny Williams. There is nothing wrong with him as a manager.

Again you aren't right, it is documented. He even did interviews talking about his guys not liking him. If you dont want to accept it then fine, I can't make you. Even if its true you're free to like the man if you choose.

Anyways, back to Marlins, went to my first Marlins game on Friday. I like the little ballpark a lot. they did a nice job with it. Only thing I hated was it was obvious they aren't opening the roof enough as the grass is dead in a bunch of places.

Wait a minute. I show you PROOF that they liked him. That they praised him. All you're giving me is BS you heard from an interview months ago. It doesn't work like that. Show me the proof that players hated him. That they didn't like playing for him. Unless you do, you're talking out of your ***.

Again, no one cares that you hate him.
