You can't make this stuff up! http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000...lle-revis-noncommittal-for-jets-training-camp He signed his new deal in 2010!!! ahahahahahaahahahahhaha!!!
Update: http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...lle-revis-will-show-up-to-jets-training-camp/ Hahahaahaha!
Let the buffoon sit out the year. As good as Revis is, NO cornerback is worth this kind of headache. In today's NFL with 3 and 4 WR sets, Revis makes an impact but not like he could have 10 years ago. When Revis goes up against a QB like Brady, Brees, Manning or Rodgers, they spread the ball around so efficiently, it makes Revis' effectiveness only slightly above marginal.
the only reason this arrogant s h i t can do this is people entertain the idea. If it were me I would call his bluff, if he sat out I would trade him. Screw him and the horse he rode in on!!
He's the unquestioned best corner in the game, and imo has been so for a few years,if he's not paid like it, then I don't blame him.
That's not the way it works. Rodgers is the best QB and when he gets his next contract he'll be the highest paid QB until another really good QB signs his contract in the next year or two. Revis was given a huge contract with tons of up-front money just two years ago. The yearly salary is kept lower so it works under the cap. Revis seems to forget the $32 million he got over the last two years and points to the lower yearly salary and claims he's under-paid.
This isn't Revis fault. The Jets promised him a new deal now if he went along with his current deal for the time being. He did that and he is making them aware of their agreement. If anything be mad at the Jets FO, not Revis.
