In real life or in this survivor? In this survivor game, yes I am content banishing him from the island especially after his play last year. In real life, would I want to keep him? Yes. That being said, I don't know if that is in the best interest of the Miami Dolphins. He has started to break down physically, last year he just wasn't the same player out there. He is about the same age as Tony Boselli when he broke down physically. He is going to cost us A LOT of money to retain (probably the largest contract ever for a lineman) and if you look at the Packers offensive line the last few years they got by with average to decent tackles (certainly not the best though). In the West Coast system you just need okay tackles, not the best tackles in the league since the QB usually gets rid of the ball fast. So from a cost-benefit analysis I just don't think he would be worth the money he would cost us. Also I feel Jonathan Martin is more fit for the LT position (after he develops).

Ok maybe Green Bay gets bye with average o-line but they have something we lack a great qb. In a pass-first offense like the west coast system, we need a good qb. Sure tannenhill is more than capable of becoming that qb, but he needs to fix his issues. His main one? He cant adapt to the speed of the game and cant make reads fast enough. That being said he will need time in the pocket to excel while he adapts. What gives the qb time? The o-line! Long is doing very well and if you are one of the ones that say we should give him up, then I never want to see you complain if and when a brandon marhall type of situation happens next year
