Lacks confidence in his arm. Loved the accuracy, though. He plays it safe too much, and doesn't have enough pocket poise to make it work.
Physically, size, arm strength and accuracy, he is basically a clone of Andy Dalton. The differences though are the intangibles and mentality, basically everything other than the physical tools. There was a really interesting video going around the forum last year about draft time, where they measured everything about Dalton and Devlin against one another, showing their velocity, accuracy, quickness of release etc. With just things like that their closeness was uncanny.
He'll definitely have to prove it in games because the games of his I saw in Carolina were not great at all.
Devlin looked better than Moore. Moores' 2 minute was atrocious. 45 seconds to go and he's tossing 2 yard passes in the middle of the field. I was hoping to see Tannehill get a 2 minute, but he didn't.
Is it true Moore spiked the ball on a 4th down play? Also, I noticed that yesrday, when his squad got a TD, it was because they let him go for it on 4th rather than kick, like they would have in real life. I swear they've given moore every chance to prove himself so they can rest easy when they trade him for a special teams gunner.
If things keep up I could see them trying to part ways either trade or out right cutting Moore. Personally I don't want to hear "hes not a good practice player" or " he's a gamer". Its one thing if he played any other position. But hes a QB and the quality of his practices directly effect the quality of everyone else s. I'm pulling for him tho.
I don't think it was a bad day. He did drop 2 passes, but he was getting open and the QBs were looking to get him the ball.
I thought it was a 3rd down play TBH. I did hear him yell F**k though which was amusing. It was reminiscent of past Dolphin failures. 2 minutes to go, game on the line and a complete catastrophe. I was pissed. I h
