This might be one of you guys, who knows. LOL I found this comment on NFL.com and it sounds like a perfectly knowledgeable dolphin fan making the connection that Miami football sucks because of the intelligence of local fans. Here's my response to him. "you give chad henne ted ginn and brandon marshall as WR's together they dropped over 30 TD's in 3 years and you blame him? marshall had 7 dropped TD's in the first 6 games last year alone. chad henne hever had a chance in miami. even the stupid fans booed him in ota's. the media in miami is ran by people from NY and boston and yuo wonder why the fans are so misinformed. the dolphins play 16 road games each year." hey, sir! First and foremost this is with all due respect, you sound like a knowledgeable Dolphin fan...I'm all for more of those. In your quoted comment above on NFL.COM: aside from generalizing about local Miami Dolphin fans and making grand connections between media conglomerates and how stupid every person in Miami is, you fail to mention that the REAL reason "henne hever had a chance in miami" was the coaching staff and (what i think) is inferior talent against Tannehill. Every city has "stupid fans who boo." That's not why Henne is a backup in Jacksonville, it's cause he sucks. Ya know, national fans are always so quick to talk crap but there are plenty of knowledgeable fans down here. Every city has rabid fans. Most of the hate on us comes from football-related structural failures of the Stadium...not our fault Joe Robbie wanted it to be a multi-purpose stadium. Just stop generalizing about our fans, dude. It's our coaching staff that sucked, and I think Philbin will change that trend and start to DEVELOP talent down here in Miami. Good day.
This was just a quick message but I'm tired seeing the blame the failures of a football organization put on the locals? WTF??? is it our fault, really? Miami is a top destination in the world, it's not a shocker that visiting team fans come down here to see a couple of games. Which explains why "99% of the fans are the other teams." Which is a clear exaggeration for anyone who has been to Dolphin games. I'm to the **** with blaming the fans, the stadium, the bubble, the practice facility...when are we going to agree that our team just simply sucks?
People who blame this stuff on the fans are ridiculous. The fans don't hire the GM or the coaches, the fans don't make the draft choices and the fans don't call the plays and most certainly don't run the plays. The failures the Dolphins have had over the last ten years have been because of bad ownership, bad management, bad drafting, bad coaching and bad performance on the field. The fans had next to nothing to do with it. Blaming them for the Dolphins' problems is like saying it was the moviegoing public's fault that Gigli sucked.
If a player isn't mentally tough enough to deal with stupid *** fans then he will never amount too much anyways. (Tim Couch)
I think there are some folks here who have tried to blame fans for the poor performances of the team and players. Which is crazy. We all know it's all Jeff Ireland's fault.
Or going to the locker room with 44 seconds left before half time on 2nd down near mid field behind 4 points.
