I'm pretty sure these things are handled within their own practice. Philbin/Sherman probably discuss with Coyle on different coverages and blitz packages to bring at Tannehill. If Carolina can't stop Tannehill on their own without our coaches help, that's a good thing. I get your point of teams gameplanning for Tannehill. But it's also our coaches jobs to gameplan against opposing defenses and to prepare Tannehill for regular season games. I'm not sure it would be fair if we didn't prepare Tannehill for Carolina, but let Carolina prepare for Tannehill.
Now that we cut C. Johnson I think it's a reasonable idea to start Tannehill against the Panthers at the WR position. Matt Moore needs someone to throw to.
Now that we're down a receiver maybe Tannehill can e moved to WR. We ll know he's ending up there anyway.
