    Things I'm watching:

    - Does Tannehill start and how does he do with 1s vs 1s?
    - Does Moore outperform Tannehill
    - Can Sherman and the OLines get the run game going
    - How do Wallace and Hogan look with what I assume will be more reps?
    - How does the line backing corps look (do Trusnik or Spitler play with the ones)
    - Matthews and Cunningham on special teams
    - Wake needs his first sack
    - Do we lose contain on Newton
    - Sean Smith.... Does he rebound and perform or was his 'iimprovement' this season a mirage
    - Clay and Egnew
    - Jon Martin
    - Dan Carpenter

Lol. Who knows. I'm sure I'll hear it from her. But when we watch a game her attention span is in and out. Shell watch for a few minutes, then go rearrange her clothes and clean up a bit, then come back for bit and get into it, then go email her family, etc etc.

She says she doesn't understand what's going on well enough to really follow it properly. She's gradually learning more though and
I hope she will make it through a whole game someday. (the Super Bowl is the only one that seems to hold her attention through the whole game)

I'd like to see the 1st team defense play up to their ability and see some playmakers besides Wake start to emerge from that group.

Obviously you'd like to see how Tannehill does if given the opportunity to play with and against the 1's. You'd also like to see how well the offensive line is jelling in the new scheme, and what role that may play in whether or not to start Tannehill early on.

I'd also like to see if Wallace continues to step it up, and if Hogan gets more opportunities against better players.

I see the potential playmakers on defense as Rashad and Jimmy Wilson.

Re: Oline... I feel for some reason that jon KMartin will impress us, not because he'll be AMAZING, but because within one week I think he'll have already corrected a good number of his mistakes. he strikes me as that kind of guy. I think we see noticeable improvement at RT this game.

If Wallace and Hogan don't get more opportunity you have to ask yourself why not.

Matt Moore is starting. That is my prediction.

My guess why this will be is Tannehill hasn't been streets ahead better than Matt Moore.

Looking forward to seeing Cam Newton. He's a guy most people figured wouldn't be ready to play well right away b/c of his limited experience level coming from college. Turns out most people (myself included) were wrong.

We've got some things to figure out at WR and QB. There are some backup spots available on defense. Other than that its all about getting ready for Houston and staying healthy.

And yet the top QBs in the league are consistently ones who were not day one starters... Plus the day one starters seem to have higher incidence off injury issues.

Guyton, Starks and Sean Smith need much better games.

Keep an eye on Kheeston Randall. He beasted Tampas 2nd string OLine. I'd love to see him rotate in for Starks some during the season and take McDaniels goal line spot.

Not sure how injuries come into play. And im of the opinion that either your going ro be a top QB or your not. If a guy is SOO mentally weak that he cant overcome any early woes??? Then he isn't the answer anyway

-Marcus Thigpen, he knows the stakes
-Trusnik, does he continue to play at a high level
    -OL..
    -DL
-Cb, folks are perhaps overlooking that Legedu might not be that good, our Db's could be that bad

Etc, sorry bro, tossing the rook Qb into the fire no more works then sitting him works, you pretty much have to take your chances either way, if THill is not looking off defenders, he will be eaten.

Throwing a rookie QB into the fire is a mixed bag for results. Sometimes good, like Ryan and Newton, sometimes bad like Couch, Carr, Beck, et al.
Sitting a rookie QB has never been proven to not work when it comes to his long term success.

Lots of things to be honest.

Among them , another positive outing from Tanneyhill , doesn't have to be as strong ( though obvioulsy preferred ) . Be in control , move the ball . Make some throws only upper echelon QB's make , be smart , produce some points.

Continuity from the Oline , better run blocking , avoid having your RB's have to create all on their own.

Pressure from the defense , and containment , being physical and stout against the run.

Have the WR's make another step/forward...consistency . Ideally a big play downfield, but catch balls you are supposed to, make first downs , get some seperation and move the chains.

Secondary to make some plays , break up some passes , have an interception or two , especially if gift wrapped like last week.

Not sure if Thigpen is playing , but want to see some positive returns , flip the field a couple of times.

Have our speed players play fast and have that speed make a tangible difference.

No significant injuries , fingers crossed.

I was going say I just want the Dolphins to win because I'd feel sorry for Sick getting trash-talked by his son. Even though we have a lot of members here from NC, I don't actually know a lot of Dolphans around here, which is the same for a lot of my friends I think so I'm the one big Dolphins guy. So preseason or not, please win. Luckily last year we dominated them pretty bad and Newton looked completely overwhelmed.

While it's nice hearing more focus on Dolphin players with the Miami announcers, I think we're better off with the Panthers broadcast.
