A bit premature to say the least.

It does not take a rocket scientist to see JMart is sucking, enough so he is ruining other players chances to show what they can do.

Egnew and Vernon however, and Miller, really are the keys to this draft aside from Tannehill because they play impact positions if they show something, for that reason you have to give them time.

Right now, the Defense is playing slowly, and JMart is screwing up the offense, gm #3 will tell us a lot.

Martin has really struggled but he had to switch sides and it is early.

Egnew has supported the overrated rep for Mizzou TEs, and taking him in the 3rd instead of a WR looks even more of an awful choice than it did Draft day, and I thought it bad then.

The two UM "steals" have done little to justify that hype.

 

Not to me. Why should we give complete veto power for a pick 60% or more of the fan base could have made?

 

Because he's the one risking his job by making the pick. We're not.

 

Sorry, I can't let one pick overcome 5 years, or even 2 years for the nothing "counts until Bill left" crew....

 

I think when so many players believe a guy is playing so well, you have to give him a roster spot just so as to keep the integrity of camp, where the idea is that there are legitimate fights going on for roster spots.

As soon as you take a guy like Hogan and cut him, you undermine the players' belief that roster spots are legitimately up for grabs in camp. That then weakens the intensity of your future camp battles among players, and the whole atmosphere is softened.

 

Damn I always thought Kellen Winslow was fair to decent. Apparently so did the people who vote for the Hall of fame.

 

I meant as a potential trade target.

 

And yet Martin was gifted the first string job without proving a thing and still has it despite looking bad. I shudder to think how bad the other OTs must look to not pass him.

 

I think they put him on an island in this game to figure out how much help he's going to need once the regular season starts. I think they're going with him no matter what, but they're evaluating how much help he'll need until he can do more on his own.

 

Give the guy some freaking time before you throw him under the bus. It takes time to evaluate the draft and decisons can not be made after 2 presesaons games. I honeslty think that you will be surprised in a few years reflecting back on this years draft!

 

I think a lot of that has to do with him looking good in Practice. Up until the last couple of games I would of thought that meant something. But seeing as how poor our front has looked its starting to mean less and less.

 

Ummmm.. Pretty sure he isn't on the block.
