If These Officials Start The Season, I'm Boycotting The NFL This Year

For many years I read how most of you on here ***** about how bad the officials are and that anybody can do a better job, well, now over the past 2 weeks, you are all wrong....
The NFL needs to pay the regular officials and get them back. Its not so much about missing a offside and other things like that, its more about protecting the players.

 

I agree in the sense that it makes me lose respect for the commissioner and the owners if this happens. I won't boycott watching the games, but I will really hate it if this happens. Every bit of negative publicity the league gets will overjoy me.

The officiating has been a joke this preseason. In our game Friday, Vonte's penalty clearly should have been offsetting. Sean Smith's pass interference would not have been called by a top quality ref in todays NFL. They missed on several other calls or non-calls.

 

Did it make you feel empowered to say that? I don't agree about any of us who ever *****ed about the Bill Leavys and Gene Steratores of the officiating world being wrong when we did so.

 

When your team sucks, bad refereeing actually gives you a better chance of a fluke victory.

 

They're gonna cost teams games.

 

Exactly. So we might actually win with their help.

 

I've seen enough for a lifetime from these refs. In my opinion, anyone who does not think that they will change games drastically the wrong way in the regular season are kidding themselves. It's just terrible. This will ruin football. There will be calls that end up screwing teams out of the playoffs. I think the real refs just don't want retirement floating with the stock market. They just want it fixed. I don't think that is too much to ask.

 

Expect longer games. These. Morons stop the game too much and take ages to spot the damn ball.

 

There will be 50yrd bad penalties that drastically change the outcome of games.
