And sometimes making certain decisions on keeping your locker room is good business, especially when it involves a garbage pick. I don't know why you would think Garrard is a better fit for year one of Tannehills tenure..with Moore, you have someone that at any point and time come into the game, play well, and raise his stock for next offseason, you continue to develop Devlin, then in the offseason you allow Moore to go and compete somewhere else for a mid rounder, and Devlin steps into the role, showcase Devlin next preseason, and flip his *** into a pick.. Which leads me to a problem, I don't think we're gonna be able to stash Devlin on the PS..
There were several people tweeting at me about Jeff Ireland's body language while Reggie Bush came up and asked for a meeting about cutting Chad. Personally I thought Ireland looked like he wanted to puke.
Feel for Egnew. It looks like the ragging is really bothering him. His facial expressions just seem sad. Think he can be a good weapon if he develops. Bottom line is that some players are motivated by the ragging, but others take it to heart. Lets hope Michael is the former.
Ireland has very little say on the top 40-45 players at this point. He brings them in and the coaches weed them out. Obviously he has control of the practice squad and a handful of roster players as it pertains to the future of the franchise but the impact players are controlled by Philbin and his staff.
I know we all love the leadership council, but that is all on Philbin. These three players were on the team last year and didn't do this. It is Philbin and his staff's influence that made this happen. I feel soooooooooo good about the coaching staff we have for the first time in a looooong time.
He's been terrific against the run. It's his pass rushing that has been sub par so far. But he's not used to playing where he is.
Reggie Bush is the leader of this team. Philbin should thank him for averting a rift between the lockeroom and coaching staff.
That sounds like it could be the name of an old 50's-60's era dangers of STDs film they made you watch in school.
well, i thought he had to go to the bathroom during the leadership council meeting, but that's probably just me noticing these things.
I think HBO noticed his negative body language as well when you see they included a clip of Ireland listening to Dansby ***** about Chad getting cut on TV, planted the seed of his discomfort.
He don't remind me of an actor, he really reminds me of Bill Cowher, they both have the same scowl when pissed off.
no, the actor I'm thinking has been in action / war type movies. I'll think of it.... three months from now...
Yup. I think they inserted a context by showing that first. The impression you got is that what Ireland had running through his head was, "You have the ****ing balls to come up to us and ask for a meeting on behalf of yourself and Karlos, after Karlos just ran his mouth off to Sid Rosenberg this morning? Go get your ****ing shine box."
Ireland is one of those guys that doesn;t get it from a 'people person' point of view, I think. He;s the ****ing guy you pray doesn;t marry your sister then you have to tolerate him in his dungaree shorts and windbreaker sipping a bartles & james at every family barbecue, 4th of july, thanskgiving, and christmas... yes, he even wears the dungaree shorts at christmas.
Nope. They asked if they can be a line of defense before a cut happens due to behavior. Let them know who has problems and has leaders they will try to talk to them first.
When he went off on Egnew on the sideline during the game, all I saw was Cowher, same type of temperament.
