Things just keep getting better and better! All seriousness, thought JJ did alright filing in for Big Jake last yr so I'm not tooo worried...
Wait... what? Who else was injured today... come to think of it... never mind. I don't want to know. I don't think I could take more bad new at this time.
Youre joking I hope? hes given up less then 10 sacks and 100 pressures in the last 3 years combined. There are tackles that given up 10 sacks and 40 pressures in 1 season.
Per Ben Volin on twitter/Rotworld: Dolphins LT Jake Long is "fine" after tweaking his knee in Monday's practice. Long sent a scare through Twitter after remaining down on the field for several minutes Monday, but doesn't appear to be in any danger of Week 1. Long missed the first two games of his NFL career last season as he played through knee, back and shoulder woes, and his health will be an absolute must if the Dolphins are going to wring any production out of one of the league's least talented passing attacks. *exhale*
Dude, come on man, hartline has had the slowest recovery time from a amputation in recorded history. Wait..what?
A pessimist would say sit him down until next season......when the games start to mean something again.
Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter Dolphins believe OT Jake Long sprained his medial collateral ligament during Monday practice. He's getting an MRI to determine exact damage. Is that what they call a "tweak"?
Well, I'm talking about Long, not Hartline. And I'm not worried about Hartline, but if you want to start watching American Idol and give up on the season, be my guest.
American Idol doesn't start till January... X Factor however starts next month. I'm ashamed that I know this, but my daughter is 8 years old, and my wife is 42 going on 16.
I know what you mean it being better than a tear, but I got to be honest when I tell you I have never had a good sprain, he will be out for a few weeks my money says.
Ben Volin @BenVolinPBP I saw Schefter's tweet about #Dolphins fearing a sprained MCL but I stand by my report: Jake is OK, suffered a tweak & Fins dodged a bullet I like and trust Volin, so this makes me feel better. Hopefully he makes the opener.
A ligament sprain means it is slightly torn. The extent of the tear will determine the grade they give the sprain. First degree sprain - is a tear of only a few fibers of the ligament. Second degree sprain - is a tear of part of a ligament, from a third to almost all its fibers. Third degree of sprain - is a complete tear of the ligament.
He is fine, he said it himself, yet people think the worst, point is relax and let things play out. And give Philbin a chance. As the Dolphins sang, Don't Worry, Every Little Thing, Gonna Be All Right!
Ben Volin @BenVolinPBP OK, source confirms that a "tweak" is in fact a sprained MCL, but larger point remains that Dolphins dodged a bullet & Jake will be OK
what doctor is he going to? if its doctor andrews here in b'ham i will wait in the parking lot and interview him for the sake of this forums sanity!
Don't get me wrong I love having Jake Long as a Dolphin. Worries me that he gets banged up fairly easily and he also gets heavy feet and stiff hips. Friday night against the Falcons he was beat by Bierman and Abraham.
Rotoworld just said 1 to 3 weeks. http://miamiherald.typepad.com/dolp...s-fear-long-mcl-sprain-costing-1-3-weeks.html
For the first time I'm happy Mario Williams went to Buffalo, if he was still with Houston there is a good chance he would've have broken Tannehill in two on week one. Still might down the road but hopefully Long will be back.
