That part I agree with , much as I personally think the Dez Bryant incident was hugely over blown . Hell Look what the Cowboys are doing to insulate the guy , anyway I don't think Ireland is vindictive or disingenuous or two faced , I just don't trust he has the ability needed to do what needs to be done by a GM to elevate and keep your team at an upper echelon level.

I mentioned this many times before but to me it is the Peter Principle , and while he is good at some aspects , the approach he has had hasn't worked , let's all be clear on that. So this is take two at least , the good part is Tanneyhill legitimately looks the part and shows promise , and Philbin kind of has to be better that Sparano ( though we want much more of course ) , we have substantial draft picks , and real positive cap room. Maybe he sees and realizes the errors of his ways , maybe he has learned on the job. Hell I heard fat Bill say on the radio that Miami doesn't have enough playmakers .... was that gloating Bill?

I thought Ireland came over at least ok in dealing with the tough part of this business. No complaints or criticisms there from me.

If he were ToddPhins it would have been much smarter to name himself "DefinitelyNotToddPhinsHere" to throw us off the trail. Therefor I conclude he is not. Moooving on.

 

I expect him to be a little less awkward. A guy is told he is cut by an underling, so Ireland starts off every conversation with: "Hey how's it going, or how are you doing"? How the Hell do you think he's doing?

 

Perhaps he's asking b/c he's genuinely concerned since he knows the players is aware of already being cut? IDK, I think it's the proper thing to say. Not a lot of things sound good in an obviously awkward moment like that IMO.
