Wow, anyone who has their doubts about this guy, hit the link. A complete throwback to old time kick asss hard nosed football. Listen to what Incognito says to Bierman at the end after he levels Biermans assss into the ground. Love it.

Dolphins should definately use this in some sort of collage to physc people up.

Incognito has exceeded expectations for me. Seems to have matured a lot, and has been able to transition to a bew scheme. Very solid signing for Jeff Ireland.

When watchcing it live, Bierman was in the Phins backfield most of the time he was in the game.

You can Thank Jake Long for that, not Incognito. Look at the film again I posted, Incognito had no one to block so he helped Long out. Good try though. Someone on our team kicks Biermans balls into the ground and some band camp attendee comes up with a complete utter bs comment. More reason to think half the fans down here really do suk

What tickled me the most was watching him charge and split the pair of safeties like a Pamplona bull.

Wrote this a little a while back.

"Been looking at some of last years games just to Iso Richie..

First off I'd like to say that the combination of Vernon Carey and Columbo were so bad that it really does give me so much optimism going into the season..Those two guys deserve to be where they are at this point, which is OUT of the league..Bums I tell ya in their final year, flat out bums.

I iso'd Richie because it just seems like he has this thing hanging over his reputation in that he is a lumbering stiff, slow player...my findings were quite the contrary.

    1) He's big, and he's strong, he anticipates the snap well, he doesn't take unnessasry steps in his back pedal before he engages, right off the snap he locks on, his anchor and base of his body is so stout its very hard for defenders to get around him, and usually once he locks on , he drives you out of the play or you basically don't get leverage on him.

    2) the misconception...Richie incognito has quickness in that body even though it looks like he's as stiff in the upper body as Channing crowder in coverage, he's not, he's got some get off, he gets off the line with some explosiveness when he knows he has to get to the 2nd level, and executes the responsibility, finds the player, and gets the job done..I just watched for mobility and quickness, and I came away impressed, dude can turn, twist his upper body, and believe it or not, can run.

    3) awareness...I must of watched about 300 snaps, and he is very good at keeping his head on a swivel, can take two players out of the equation on occasion, disengages quickly off his inititial, relocks, and always finishes the play thru the whistle.

    4) I feel comfortable with him next to Jake, and I don't say that just because he's safe, no, he's consistent, he's strong, he's aggressive, he can stop a player in his tracks, has a good punch, and has mobility and quickness that he doesn't get credit for, he's a good left guard imo."

Problem we are going to have with a very weak right side is in the running game and it showed last year and is showing this year. At the beginning of the game we usually get a nice burst thru the left side but as the game progresses and the D realizes we cannot run right, they either stack the Left side of our Oline or have the LBERs shade over to our left side.

I do not care who we have on the left side, if we do not shore up the right side of the Oline the run game cannot be successful. A lot of teams get huge yardage running to their right side as that is usually the weak part of the defense. In our case our Right side cannot move a wet paper bag for too many plays.

    Have to do something.

What he said about Bierman was true. It does not take away from what Incognito did to him on that play and I think your response to gunn34, a long time respected member of the forum, was really unnecessary.

I know who's fault it was when he was in the backfield. I saw the same game you saw. Not sure what the good try though comment was about. Did Incognito bust his @$$. You bet. I loved it too. He was spending alot of time there and talking **** to Long about it. I'm glad RI did something about it.

Now as for the band camp attendee comment and it being BS. First it wasn't BS. Second don't be an internet tough guy...I don't play like that.

Agree. All teams make mistakes in draft picks. I do not know Ireland and cannot say if he is good or bad but do know, all GMs have their good and bad times, its a crap shoot. Heck, look at the recent Rams/Jets trade. They traded perhaps the two worst offesnive tackles in the NFL but the one the Rams sent to the Jets, Jason Smith, was taken 2nd overall in the NFL draft and believe he signed a 70 million dollar contract. Of which, all the guaranteed money has been paid. In return the Jets sent Wayne Hunter, the worst or second worst OT in the NFL to St. Louis.

Richie's confident & nasty edge combined with some maturity is seeming to be quite a combo. I pray that some of his attitude & mean streak rubs off on Jerry & Martin. Those 3 guys on the left should hopefully be capable of shaping up the cubs.

Personally, I think Jerry has been playing better then Artis Hicks. I know and agree with the new Oline coach, Turner, if Jerry was 30 lbs lighter he would be very very good. I do not think all pro good but way better then now.

I asked a neighbor who is a Stanford Alum and he says Martin is good but in the PAC 10 never faced any really really hard nosed DEs he had to fight off. Add to that Luck got the ball out real quick. So other then that, do not know much about the kid.

I can't imagine it being easy having to relearn the position from the exact opposite perspective. The left foot is now the right foot. The left hand is now the right hand. The line of sight flip flops too as if switching from American driving to European...... and on top of that the guy obviously needs to gain some size and strength and really grow into his big man body. B/c of this, anyone thinking he'll make that transition immediately and be some All Pro RT is fooling themselves. Early expectations need to be tempered a bit. IMO we should see some positive strides during the 2nd half of the season, and by year 2 see a nice spike in the reliability category. By year 3 he could very well become one of the game's better RT.

The light seemed to come on for Jerry in the last game, and there were signs too, late in the Carolina game. Perhaps he has played himself into shape and the methods employed by Turner were the right ones and now paying off. There is no doubt Jerry is talented, it is just a matter of conditioning and "want to" when it comes to how well he'll do.
I think that will be fitting with their ideal plan from OTAs, if Jerry can start and Hicks be the swing man.

I have no idea. Could be we now have an OL coach who knows better how to handle guys like Jerry.
IMO, Sparano hired his buddy to coach the OL when he fired Mike Maser and hired DeGuglielmo
