One of the Cowboy announcers called this a "faceless team". That may be the right description. Problem is the underdogs aren't overly plentiful. The guys with the bulldog mentatlity. Lane is definitely one of them.

 

Build not rebuild , which is what we have been doing to no success , are there more plusses and I know it is early for some than not for acquisitions?

I am not sure how this team wins any games. This is just a total mess going into the season. I can't imagine Ross is too happy.

I realize this is preseason, but the Dolphin play on the field is making most of the "experts" quite accurate on this team.

 

You've seen enough pro football to know exactly what is happening, young players do not make the most of every chance.

And "no", once again, bringing in new guys does not mean upgrade in talent, it just means new faces, we will simply have to suffer through this crap.

IMO, Ross is behind this, he wanted to move away from running the ball to more passing, here it is, oh yeah, we don't have the personnel on the roster to do it in one season..oops.

If it was Ross that made the move to what may become a passing team from a run first team , maybe he should be the GM instead of Ireland? You think we should have stuck with the Ireland Sparano Parcells mold? Maybe not drafted a QB we did have one last year that some people thought was good enough to be a consistent playoff team with.

I don't mind going in the right direction AT ALL , but make the right moves more than wrong ones , not sure I see that now , maybe , sure as hell didn't see it before , because they weren't the right moves. imo .

Yes I do think we should have kept in the Sparano direction, it fit our personnel, now we have a playtypus, and to up the dummy factor, Ireland traded away our playmakers and Philbin is starting a Rook Qb.

We will suck on offense, due to mismatched personnel, unless idiots really do think "oh, if you can count to 3 you can zone block"
