I think we're trying to get the best deal for Matt Moore. I have a feeling teams are interested, but he's going to the highest bidder.

Sorry if my comments seem like a broken record, but I am only responding to comments from other individuals on here. I certainly don't start any threads bashing the team or Ireland. I look forward to the day that I will be able to come on here and rave about all the positive things I see the Dolphins doing. Perhaps because I am older and I don't have as many days left on earth as you and many others on here do, I have less patience with the constant rebuilding of this team, which has seem to be going on ever since Don Shula left.

All I want from the Dolphins is a competitive team, with a chance of making the Super Bowl before I become worm food. If that seems like I am asking for too much, sorry about that. At age 39, you have plenty of time to be patient. At age 61, I don't know how many years I have left and therefore I figure 16 years of basically rebuilding, is enough.

Ironically didnt we tell Darius Butler we were drafting him, but picked Vontae Davis instead?

OmarKelly Former Oakland Raiders cornerback Conroy Black was released. Phins had interest in his EARLIER. He's a local kid.

I think they might have gotten a higher draft pick for him if they had traded him when they signed Garrard. They would have been able to trade him based on his play from last season. He looked so bad this preseason that this has probably negatively affected his trade value. I think a sixth or seventh round selection is the best they can expect for him right now.

If Ireland can get a fifth round or higher pick for Moore, I would consider it a steal by Ireland and he would certainly deserve credit.

Given the cost of 10 days and 9 nights at Disney, I don't personally see how anyone could call that a "win" unless someone else was footing the bill.

Interesting that the Dolphins seem intent to get one last practice out of whichever 8 players they plan to cut to get to the 53 man roster. At least, that's what Jesse Agler seems to think is happening.

One last chance if you're on the bubble to go out there, kill it, and say please please please don't cut me.

As for Lydon Murtha, talented enough to make the roster but enough is enough with the injuries. The guy absolutely cannot, CAN NOT stay healthy.

I kind of wonder watching Moore this preseason if he hasn't intentionally played bad. What good could come from that though.

I don't think he was playing bad on purpose.

Yeatman looks to be making the 53... sweet, nice to see something in a player that he's worthy of making the team and have it confirmed.

JJ had to rebuild the defense when he took over from Shula. Wannstedt had a decent defense because of the players left by JJ, but Wannstedt was never able to rebuild the offense completely, after he basically forced Marino to retire. While the Dolphins had some winning seasons under Wannsteadt , they were never a serious Super Bowl threat during his years as the teams HC. They were a very ordinary team during the Wannstedt years and while they did make the playoffs, the Dolphins were only 1-2 in the playoffs during the Wannstedt regime.

I agree that the major rebuilding of the team started during the first year of the Saban regime, but it has been almost two decades or more since the Dolphins have had a complete roster which could actually compete for a Super bowl. The last I checked, the last time they even competed in a conference championship game was in 1992 and the last SB they played in was in 1984. This is a long period of very mediocre play, as far as I am concerned and I expect and want more from this organization.
