After waiver wire pickups, teams need to cut deeper to clear roster room. These are players that teams initially decided not to cut but the waiver order is set according to last years weakest teams. So potentially better players are better from mostly lower quality teams. Scott Paxson, NT Cleveland Browns Brian Sanford, DE Cleveland Browns Stephen McGee, QB Dallas Cowboys Shelley Smith, G Houston-texans Jermale Hines, DB Indianapolis colts D.J. Johnson Colts Ty Nsekhe, T Colts Zach Miller, TE Jacksonville Patrick Brown, T Minnesota Zack Bowman, DB Minnesota Ross Ventrone, DB New England Bobby Carpenter, LB New England Jonathon Amaya, DB Saints Mitch Petrus, G Giants Dedrick Epps, TE Jets Marcus Dixon, DE Jets Antonio Allen, SS Jets Chimdi Chekwa, DB Oakland Jamie Cumbie, DT Oakland Bryan McCann, DB Oakland Trevard Lindley, DB Philadelphia Kellen Winslow, TE Seattle Jerome Murphy, DB Rams Brandon McDonald, DB Tampa Bay Wallace Gilberry, DE Tampa Bay Bradley Sowell, T Tampa Bay Not an inspiring list. Maybe Miami should pickup Shelly Smith and pump him for information
Armstrong, Amaya. We're getting the band back together. I wonder what Parcells is doing? Maybe we can as good as we use to be.
If things play out as we see them now, Armstrong, Naanee, Bess, and Hartline or Moore will likely get the playing time. That group just doesn't scare me if I am a secondary, particularily one like Houston's. I hope the Dolphins have incorporated the use of TEs and rbs in the passing game to create some off-balance plays. Would like to see Fasano and Clay show up. The big question mark in all of this is Naanee since he is going to get playing time.
I think Zach Miller adds another TE to the pile with Winslow and Cooley that you might wanna sniff at. Not sure any of them can replace Mastrud as a blocker though.
Just curious if you know it's Zach Miller, TE from Jax who was a QB at Nebraska-Omaha in college, not the Zach Miller who was a TE for the Raiders and then the Seahawks. The one who was cut hasn't been able to stay healthy in 3 years (well this'll be his 4th).
Petrus? Although, his last game couple days ago, he got blown the hell up inside bull rush... for a guard... that's bad.
