OmarKelly #Dolphins OT Jake Long doesn't appear to be practicing today. Long is still recovering from his MCL sprain

what was the point in keeping John Jerry then? To replace Martin at RT when he eventually stinks up the joint?

Well we need a swing tackle and right now we don't know if Jake is ready to play or how long it may take and to be honest , he has been starting to get dinged up.

which would make Omar classifying Hicks at RG as "resuming his starting role" somewhat misleading. As Jerry is the starter there IMO not Hicks, if both are healthy.

yea that's what I wanted to see, who'd start at RG if both were healthy

Jerry is likely the starting RG over the long term. Even if not, last season he proved he could be a backup at either tackle spot as well, and hold his own and not embarrass himself. When he started in place of Jake, I expected Moore to get decapitated but Jerry surprised me with his pass blocking at left tackle. It wasn't that bad.

BenVolinPBP Garrard looked VERY good doing agility drills -- shuffling backwards and forwards in the pocket. No brace, only a sleeve on left leg. 15 minutes ago · reply · retweet · favorite

AdamHBeasley Garrard practices for the first time since surgery, but limited. Warmed up, threw some early, but didn't participate in 7-on-7s

No sh*t. Jerry is an asset to have around.

Thank god for Hard Knocks. I've now concluded Vontae was a cancer, Jerry is useless, Philbin will never win with his demeanor and Hogan is an all-pro!

Scrambling at this point to fill out a wide receiver unit in the NFL is a pretty poor reflection of the GM...He better of made up for it in other areas, especially with this and last years draft class..He's got to prove that he is more than just average at evaluating talent..

AdamHBeasley Also, Moore's value will only rise as the season goes on, bc people are bound to get hurt between now and the deadline. 16 minutes ago · reply · retweet · favorite
    AdamHBeasley profile

AdamHBeasley Here's why: most teams dedicate between $15m and $20m of cap to QBs. Because Tannehill's on a rookie contract, Fins don't have near that. 17 minutes ago · reply · retweet · favorite
    AdamHBeasley profile

AdamHBeasley Conventional wisdom is Dolphins will keep Garrard or Moore, depending on Garrard's health. I'm starting to believe they keep both.

Hey I more than hear you , I love the game Marshall can bring , this isn't to say I like or would tolerate for long certain behaviour , but the game? yeah I loved it in Denver , and pretty sure he will be a big factor in Chicago . When he got traded I questioned the return value and gave Ireland the benefit of the doubt that he had several legitimate options in place to offset the loss. So far he hasn't. I get building but at this point it is pretty much a joke to have the bodies we do at the WR position.

He also has to prove , imo , that he is at least average in acquiring talent that blows up ( in a good way ) relative to the draft cost. When people defend his track record , I want them to show me and others where he has done a couple of times let alone several times.
