Not a bunch of surprises when you factor in injury time. I hope the chart isn't representative of Hartline's playtime on Sunday though.

Wonder if we keep 4 HB's active on gameday if Thigpen will be both returners.

Naanee starting. I really want to see him in a real game. Yeatman is the second string LT. Interesting. DT ahead of Miller. They must like what they've seen.

Since only 45 can be active for the game. I don't see Miller on the 45 man roster this weekend. Other players I think could be left off the active roster this weekend are Egnew ,Armstrong, Garrard, Brown, Garner or Yeatman, and Nolan. That is 7 of the 8, I see as possibilities to be on the inactive squad in week one. I'm not sure if the eighth player will be from the offensive or defensive side of the ball. Depending on Hartline's calf injury, he may be on the inactive list if the coaches feel he isn't ready yet.

Just in case you don't remember, we don't need to have the 3rd (emergency) QB be on the active 45 on gameday.

I'd almost rather just have the blank spot on the depth chart behind Jonathan Martin starting at RT, than Jonathan Martin. At least that way, the QB knows exactly how much time he has to get rid of the ball because the LB is coming directly for him in a beeline.

What I find interesting is that Hartline is listed in the WR slot behind Bess, and not the one behind Naanee.

Yup. Used to be 45 plus an emergency QB. Now it is just 46. The 46th man can be any position.

I understand that, but with the Dolphins OL, they might need three active QB's before the game is over. Heck, they might even think about having all four QB's on the active roster, just in case.

There is no more emergency QB. Just any 46 active. If you dress 3 QBs they can all 3 enter and exit the game any way the coaches choose.

I'm pretty sure that's right, the 46th guy has to be the emergency (3rd) QB.

He's the guy Houston will force us to play by going 5 wide, thereby torching him for 6 TDs.

There 5th WR likely is just as ad at his position. Playing a NE?? Quite another story.

I think I'd be pretty happy if the Texans decided to put five wide receivers on the field 'cause they basically only have two.

Just can't get over how much better that roster would look with BM, VD, and Yeremiah Bell. I could almost have hope for Sunday... Oh well. Nothing left to do but watch Jeff Ireland's "vision" play itself out. Here we go...

Well, you can see what they are doing, look at the depth guys on offense look at the depth guys on Defense

    The D is paper thin

Ah well, been told constantly that defense no longer matters in the NFL anyway.

Dang, I was looking forward to see Ant out there but he's what the 5th WR?

How hard is to tell Ant the routes until he learns the playbook?
Carson did this for Chad Johnson his whole time in Cinci.

Armstrong speed would be benefit right away.

-Ryan 'Ant take this guy deep on the next play' or 'AA deep post' etc

I just don't understand having Mastrud on the roster if Yeatman is there, waste of roster space(but then again we have 4 qbs)

He is the guy who made Davis expendable, because Ireland knew he could get such a great replacement. We didn't need starter quality at nickel back. So few teams ever use 3 wides these days. Wait, what?
