Whoooo boy, that was one hell of a trip you took me on. The first part. I'm crashing hard on the 2nd. Sent from my iPad
http://www.texanstalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=94252 houston boards don't sound much different than ours. Lol. I hope we atleast suprise them with our run defence.
The only hope I have for a realistic W is that our starting D played pretty well against the Falcons - a somewhat similar offense to what the Texans offer. And our starting offense ran the ball really well against the Falcons' D, which is somewhat similar to what the Texans offer. Now, if our receivers can catch the ball (I'm looking at you Fasano!!!), we may just have a chance. Then again, that's preseason, and it means zilch, so. Either way, very excited to see just what we have in this team for real!
I don;t remember a time when going into a season opener, I thought the Dolphins winning would be a great upset. The great thing about this is that with little expectations, it will make a win that much better.
No. We will lose, a suprisingly close game....but our youth will not be able to rise to the occassion when needed. Houston - 27 Miami - 20
Philbin will play to win, that's why you play the game. could be the perfect storm for the Texans, that sinks their ship: 1) over confident 2) under-prepared 3) relying on history to resolve what has to be done on the field. 4) a frustrated & under-rated dolphin team 5) new plays released from Miami not yet seen by anyone. 6) excellent game planning by the Dolphin coaches 7) luck spawned by a new team's optimism & desire to win the game has to be played on the field & Miami will not simply lay down & give it up. in my singular mind, I think we can win.
I do terrible in these Survivor pools every year so in an attempt to jinx Miami into winning I picked Houston for my week 1 pick.
No. Texans' O will shred our secondary. Only chance is if Texans play like all they have to do is show up and win.
I am happily optimistic after game 3 of the preseason when Atlanta only managed 3 field goals against our starting D! They have always ran over us, and are a similar team to Houston. If this dude coaching our D could salvage something of Gibril Wilson... I'm gonna say he makes the most of his talent. That being said, our D SHOCKS Houston, while Tannehill has a consistent game. Dolphins 24 Texans 20
I voted no, simply because the Texans defense looks good this year. It's going to give an already struggling offensive line a great deal of trouble..... As always, I'm hoping for the best, but prepared for the worst.
I will be bow hunting for a bull elk high in the mountains for 5 to 6 days starting Saturday away from any signal to know a score. I'm going to go nuts wondering, but may the Dolphins somehow finally pull off a win against Houston. Forget the going nuts part I'm going to enjoy the hell out of it. Miami -17 Houston -24
I voted yes so that I don't have to jump on the band wagon late. Our D is better than it looked. Screen passes to Bush prove unstopable, and we run away with it. Dolphins win! YaY!
I see us hanging in for 2 1/2 quarters then getting blown away by a few deep passes early in third quarter. Texans 31, Dolphins 17
Its as simple as Houston's talent is better than Miami's talent. Texans will comeout fired up at home and take care of the Dolphins. 34-9.
Jesus you all are a sad bunch. Why even watch the game since it's a guaranteed blow out? I think we can win going into every game, and I am hoping for a pleasant surprise from our team. Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk 2
let's be honest here. Wouldn't you rather that they fall behind 28-0 in the 1st quarter, so you can watch the Red Zone channel instead of them sloshing their way through a pedestrian 31-16 loss?
Why be in denial, we are all fans and we'd all love a miracle but facts are facts. The fact is it is highly unlikely that our WR corp will rise out of the 4,5,6 receiver grade and turn in a great performance. We can watch cheer and hope be we all know deep down inside whats really going on :/
I said yes why? Cause this might be thee only place we can beat them - in a poll and i want to beat somewhere, sometime
Andre Johnson goes ape **** on Sean Smith with Foster and Owen Daniels also having a field day on our defense. Offensively, we are who we thought we were. 34-10 Texans
if you guarantee me that Ireland is gone after the game, and that a GM of my choosing will be brought in..then I will take 72-0. (I don't want the record under any circumstances)
I am very qualified and so are a lot of others in this forum if Jeff Ireland is the standard for "qualification". BTW, Ireland's qualification was that he cleaned jock straps on the 85's Bears, and that he never got Parcell's Taco Bell order wrong.
Uh, yes I am. I know as much about the game as Ireland does, and quite frankly, I have a better track record on draft day than he does. You actually think these idiots know something you don't.
come to think of it... His football career consisted of being a place kicker his entire career. I got him beat there too.
