Its no longer "too soon" to predict our 2012 record. I got us going 6-10. I have no faith in our offense with such huge question marks in the passing game. We'll beat the really crappy teams with our defense, but have no chance against teams that are actually kinda good. Split with jets and Bills. Get swept by Pats. Pick #7 in the draft. Wash, rinse, repeat. BARF!

At the moment, I'm thinking the Dolphins final record will put them in the draft's top-5 pick range. 3 or 4 wins. Maybe 5 or 6, if they buck their own trend and play disciplined.

Rookie QB. Bad WRs. Thin secondary. Outside of Wake, very little pass rush. No real leadership. No real identity.

    I hope I'm wrong.

Being 3-3 going into the bye would be awesome considering the teams we face directly after it.

7.5 wins. Like Vegas and a handful of other metric sites predict.

Based solely on what we've seen in preseason, the D looks like a bigger problem than the O. I'm going 4-12 at best right now.

[Edited to include the following:] And looking at that schedule, I don't see a game on there that screams "W" for the Phins, but just by chance, we've got to stumble to a win or two.

    5-11

With a slow start as well, when the D is this thin, and the O this new, success is not exactly in the cards

Love my phins folks, but this is the way I see it.

This schedule is pretty soft, so if this team gets very good defense all year it could win 7 or 8 games. On the other hand, if the defense too often plays like it did at times during the pre-season, I can't seem them winning more than 4 or 5. Frankly, I'm not sold enough on Coyle right now to think this defense is going to be consistent. So I'll go with 4-12.

The problem with that quote is that we are the soft spot in every teams schedule.

8-8, 7-9, or 6-10. I'm expecting the coaching staff to be the exact opposite of what Sparano and co. brought to the team and actually develop players on O and D. Don't think the D is that bad where we could lose 11-13 games considering the teams we play. Could definitely see the Dolphins slipping in 8-9 wins if Tannehill is the real deal.

Good point. I guarantee that EVERY NFL fan, when going through their team's schedule, has a big "W" next to the Miami Dolphins. Every. Single. One.

I'm gonna go with 3-13. Remember way back when, when the Dolphins were good and youd look at the schedule and see that we played the Bengals or the Cardinals and definitely the Bills and chalked it up as an automatic win cause those teams sucked so badly? Well, thats what fans of other teams do now when they see the Dolphons on their schedule. Let the blind homers who think that we are gonna somehow win 8-10 games this year, live in their fantasy world. This team is the laughing stock of the NFL.

    3-13 or at best 6-10

If we really suck then should allow us to pick up a good #1 WR in the draft. Just hoping the Colts suck as much as we do and we could have 2 high #2 picks as well
