http://www.palmbeachpost.com/news/s...ique-once-almost-unbeatable-miami-dolp/nR8N5/ Ross shows willingness to change, fans making their opinions heard. Deep pockets, non meddling, wants what's best for the team, buys tickets so you can watch on tv,terrible speaker, I'm fine with him if he never hosts a rivalry QB in our stadium again..lol OB2
I suppose that he's learning. As long as he keeps in the background and spends cash, thats all that really matters. The Fins need to move from being a national joke to becoming an average franchise first, and then take steps to becoming a power.
Good stuff. I hated that no 1 o'clock games crap. Throw in some crowd noise and we may have a decent home field advantage.
11-5, 7-9, 7-9, 6-10 = 31-33 and is pretty close to average IMO. Its not like we're going 4-12 every year...
Very good point. I switched to Comcast this year so no more Sunday Ticket for me . Game Rewind comes in handy though, the coaches film is must see stuff.
Fans don't know what they want. I think the 1PM deal is overrated. You don't get much heat relief with 4PM starts and the fans can get a lower sun so it's not beating on the seats so I think 4PM starts were fine. That said I was never one complaining about the 1PM starts. There were threads galore in here that the 1PM starts were why no fans were going to games... "It's too hot", "We need later starts", "We need a dome", etc. Now the team tries and accommodates that with some 4PM starts and now you've got fans screaming at the organization to return to "the mystique of the past" and 1pm starts. Good Grief!
Which is why I am thankful for Sunday Ticket's player tracker... to keep an eye on a few players that I have on my money leagues.
Screw all those whiny fans!!! I'd rather leave the stadium complaining about how hot it was than how bad we lost. The other advantage is 1pm = 10 am to the Raiders and other west coast teams. They'll have to adjust all of their schedules accordingly, then play on a short week following an emotional Monday night loss to a divisional rival. It aint much, but its not like we're going to overwhelm them with superior talent so every little bit counts IMO.
Thank god they are getting rid of that stupid *** song, "Fins to the left, Fins to the right", makes our organization look so corny and soft. Then we got Fergi coming on the JumboTron, "Fins up Dol-Fans", jesus... Not only are we probly down by 2 scores but then we gotta hear that ****. Nothings better than clappin' to this all game... Agreed a hundd percent, Ross moved the times because fans weren't getting to their seats in time, and a better chance to sell more tickets, and there is a noticeable difference in energy at four than 1, at 1 fans are getting their *** kicked by the sun, and not into the game.. Ross needs to shock the world, and say that he wants to build a new stadium, that, will galvanize your fanbase, then show us you understand the importance of a real home field advantage by saying that your going to build a replica of our historic arena, that will create a new culture, then say you want the stadium to be built with crowd noise and intimacy in the blueprint, that will create beautiful chaos..
Fixed: Wayne still owned the majority of the team in 2008 when we went 11-5 so Ross doesn't get credit for that. It should also be noted that we have gotten WORSE every single year he has owned the team. I keep hearing he doesn't meddle but IMHO he has been involved in changing many of the aspects on the football side of the operations. Including what kind of offense we run, game times, also I would wager the decision to be on Hard Knocks. after seeing how uncomfortable Philbin was with being in front of the Camera I simply cant see him as the "One who made the decision to be on Hard Knocks. It fits Ross's star studded M.O. so I strongly feel That one's on Ross. I also don't think its a coincidence that his taking over corresponded with Parcels stepping back and then away. It should be noted that I'm not saying I agree with or disagree some of the changes made but I would bet the house that Ross is transmitting his Inner Jerry Jones when it comes to the football side of the operations. So far I haven't seen anything he has done that suggests he is going to become a top NFL owner of even a good one.
Nah, I didnt say 7 wins b/c we're that good. It's b/c most of the teams on our schedule are that bad . We've got the Raiders this week, the Cardinals, Rams, Seahawks, Jaguars, Titans, Colts, Bills and Jets x 2, I don't think .500 is out of the question.
I understand going back to tradition and believe it's probably the best idea, but man the official fight song is god awful. Even the fan who wrote it sold it to the Oilers after us. As far as watching all the games, you Sunday Ticket and a minimum 3 TV's in your living room.
Is that a link that updates new stories? I clicked on it and it is a story about how we have lost 6 or 7 home openers in a row and how Denney is the only current Dolphin player that was on the Dolphins the last time we won a home opener. It's the only story on the page and it has nothing to do with the title of your thread or your post. lol. Ross is not even mentioned.
