I think it was 2 int intended for him. Tramon Williams has 2 int and has been on Marshall all night.

I dunno about "glad" and I'm not into scoring cheap points from a single game. But it's not hard to understand why he was traded.

I agree with the replacing him part, but Marshall is nothing special.

That is understandable but I'd keep him no matter what unless I had a quality replacement....

I wouldn't say "prefer." I would say there are people who accept that he's gone and aren't going to spend all season lamenting it, and I'm in that group personally.

You didnt answer the question. So, you think we are current better off? You prefer our current situation than having Marshall?

Definitely could have done a better job of replacing him. We've a got a 1 two 2s and 2 3s this year so I assume it'll be addressed.

I think we aren't missing anything. I like our WRs. I would trust Bess to catch a game-winning TD rather than Marshall.

You know as bad as we are now I'm okay with the 2 3rds for Marshall. Sure he may be better than what we have but 2 thirds are probably better than how he's been playing

Between the 20's he is great. He is worthless in the redzone. For that reason I do not consider him a #1. He is a 2.

And we know that was on him and not Cutler? He swung his head around and saw the ball then tried to make a move on it. We don't know who's fault that is.

Marshall can throw up another goose egg, and still probably lead our WRs after another week lol.

So, in your opinion, the starting WR opposite Bess (honestly, I dont know who that is) is better than Marshall? That our WR corps would not be better with him?

I cant see the validation in that arguement...

Cutler has had a rough game...Been under pressure all night long....His O Line is doing him no favors and it's like a **** rolling downhill type of situation. Marshall is a great receiver and he'll bounce back from this game no problem but we still didn't need his mental issues here anymore.

aaaaand he can't even locate the ball......Marshall is inconsistent and full of drops. Yes he's good for 80-100 catches and 800-1,000 yrds a year but also for a good amount of drops as well. He sucks at running routes and is almost invincible in the redzone. I for one would rather him not be here and start a new chapter with our WR's...be it this year or next year.

He is not clutch. 6 Td drops last year showed that. I am glad he is gone. At least Matthews or Bess or Hartline will give 100% on every play.

BMarsh is our Peyton Manning. With him we are contenders without him we are a 2 win team. In fact there is no significant difference between BMarsh and Manning. When we got rid of him it was like we just got rid of winning. So i hope you guys were tired of those winning seasons, cause they ceased to be the second we traded the greatest WR in our generation. We are officially set back a decade.

So this is a weekly thread now I guess. Just depends on the type of game he has. It's tiring that anything ostensibly Dolphins related is allowed in the Dolphin forum.

He started a thread that said, "for those who didnt want to trade Marshall, see tonights game". To me that implies that he is saying "See, we should have traded Marshall b/c look at tonights game".

And if we should have traded him "b/c hes not a number 1", then he must feel that we are better off now for trading him, since he believes trading him was the right move.

I dont think I had misrepresented anything. If so, I appologize... but that seemed to be what he was inferring...

Tonight is a perfect example of how poor pass protection can nullify a great receiving corps. EG: taking Jon Martin was the smart pick.

My issue was never abut trading Marshall, it was about never replacing his production. If we felt like Marshall had become toxic in the locker room or was too high maintenance thats fine. Wash your hands and be done with the dude. But we never even tried to bring in anyone else who can help to replace that production now. If we did the Marshall deal and say take Alshon Jeffery in the 2nd (give up a 5th to jump up the few spots) theres at least some talent in the mix. Or if we jumped up for Sanu in round 3 as much as I dont like him. Or if we attempted to get Vincent Jackson as a UFA. But we never even attempted to replace Marshalls production. Even if Chad Johnson worked out he wasnt going for 1100-1300 yards and 8-10 TDs.

I don't disagree with you at all. We didnt replace him, and even if we had kept Chad he was nowhere near the player that Marshall was.

Um that wasn't BMarsh's production. That would exceed his production. He never had 10 td s a season here. He didn't even have 10 tds in 2 seasons here.

To be fair Chicago's LT isnt Jake Long either. Hes not even Lydon Murtha. J'Marcus Webb is statistically one of the worst LT's in the league. Watching him live again, how hes not the worst LT is a mystery. Guy is nothing more then a short telephone pole at Tackle.

Jay Culter has been sacked 7 times, and been hit and pressured many more. But tonight is a perfect example of why Brandon Marshall isnt valuable to a team?

If Armstrong and say Matthews each got 600 yrds and 3 tds, that would replace Marshalls production.
