***Week 2 Game Thread: Raiders at Dolphins***

Game next week is huge for us in the AFCE for us, gm #3 in the season but still.

 

hahahaha...what an awesome ending to that game.

Overall, a pretty good sunday for a Dolphins fan =D

With our light schedule I think we should at least finish .500 provided we don't have any more crazy turnover games

Hey mods can we start a thread for the jet game in the mains to get updates, a lot of us can't watch that game and we need them to lose.??

i would participate. i am trying to watch that game now but they are showing the end of the eagles and ravens game

wow i am surprised directv figured out they werent showing the jets game locally like they should be where i live. now i can see it on the sunday ticket channel.

 

With the entire division at. 500 week 3 is gonna be HUGE.

I enjoyed that more than I thought I would.

 

The Steelers defense has been very suspect this season.

 

Who in the hell is that. Hartline is the target.

 

I didnt even remember that Naanee was on this team.

 

Still not sure why he's on the team. Well, besides the fact he has no holes in his game.

 

Hartline and Naanee combine for 9 catches.

 

This guy ^^.... with the jokes.

 

If Naanee didn't draw so much coverage, Hartline would've been obsolete.

 

He had at least 1 big blown block this game, still has that nice streak going.

 

That's it! Naanee draws the defense's best corner, who also gets safety help, leaving Hartline 1 on 1 with their worst corner.

 

That was the methodology behind the signing all along.

 

So, unbeknownst to we average fans, the basic ham and eggs crowd as it were, there was a secret plan to use Naanee in a way to benefit the offense. He may not have a catch all year, but he'll darn sure open things up for Hartline and Bess, maybe not miss a block on a screen sometimes, and maybe have an assisted tackle on punt or kick coverage some weeks.
Gee, I'm sure glad Ireland never tried to sign Robert Meachem.

 

^^ Matthews could never do this. So better he remains down the depth chart, while Naanee works his magic.

 

I remember reading an article about sxhottys offense and what a wish mash of concepts it was. Probably a real offensive philosophy is the real cause for success

 

If I didn't know you better I'd think you're being facetious.

 

I'm actually kind of pissed at the fans....if they made half the noise on defensive third downs that they did cheering Reggie when he left the game we'd have a little advantage going there.

PS, Marve: Can you imagine what Mike Wallace would look like in this offense with this ground game..... off play action.
If we land Wallace next year I'm gonna e-send you a big cream pie.



Call me a Homer but I think we've got the makings of something special here with $60million in cap space and all those picks.

NoNo is one hell of a decoy.

 

You ever hear the story of the time he got arrested when he played for SD? He wandered drunk through the middle of murder scene, while police had the place taped off. They tried to tell him to get out of there, but he wouldn't listen, then got arrested for public intoxication. While they were cuffing him, he used the "you can't do this to me, I'm a pro football player" type of line on the cops. They were not impressed.

 

Is there a link to this story I can read somewhere? That's terrible yet amazingly awesome.
