YES! There is no reason to call fade routes and go routes down the sideline to Hartline when all you need is a couple yards to make the field goal easier. Absolutely ridiculous.

Other points in the game as well. HORRIBLE.

Also that is why I hate icing the kicker. It doesn't work and you can actually HURT your team.

We should be 2-1. God damn coaching staff. Is it so hard to get a competent coaching staff?

Hey iced the kicker there wooohoo!

Way to go Philbin you ******.

    Carpenter = cut
I am sure we can find a journeyman kicker in his 40's that is more dependable than Carpenter. Nothing is more annoying that losing a game because the least athletic guy on the field fails to do his dam job.

Have we ever seen a mediocre team like the Jets play so awful and still win? The Patriots would have blown them away even without a player like Bush...We just aren't ready to compete. Road game in Arizona should be fun...

I'll never for the life of me understand the icing the kicker strategy. It doesn't work...Carpenter still would've missed if the Jets didn't do it, and the Dolphins would've had another chance to win if they didn't do it.

Agreed. Without that 4th down conversionin the 2nd quarter, which I put on the coaches shoulder, the game is over at halftime. And Sherman was horrible in the last quarter. Aa always, there are many reasons, but the coaches definitely had a bad game.

This loss is on Carpenter missing two and bad safety play. Nothing more.

The inevitable all-out blitz on 3rd down struck again today. Leaving Jimmy Wilson in a one-on-one cover situation is just stupid. That play probably sticks out the most today in coaching decisions that hurt the Dolphins. Stupid, stupid call on Coyle's part there.

I'm actually not as upset as some.

I saw Ryan Tannehill take his team down the field in two crucial situations. His kicker missed one...but I don't think Ryan played as poorly as some might.

I think the players did as best they could today. I think the coaching staff failed. Calling fades when you should be running, passing in OT rather than getting 2-3 yards at a time to get it closer for your kicker, allowing a kicker who's missed once to try again from longer without any help, and then ICING THE F* KICKER when your team blocks the kick!??! Icing doesn't work. Carp obviously couldn't make it from 47, so no reason to think he'd make it from 48. Jets aren't going to miss a 33 yarder at the end of the game, so let your D have a chance to block it. Don't call a F* time out and give them a chance to see how you're going to try for the block!

i have no clue what Sherman is thinking sometimes.

We throw the ball when we should run. We are I long field goal range so he calls deep throws to Hartline instead of attacking the middle of the field.

We ran two screens today. One was a big play, one was a dumb bubble screen that Cromartie blew up. Why not run more screens? Where was Lamar Miller in the 2nd half. I know we don't trust him in protection but in straight up runs?

We have an issue I think with Sherman.

Would you want to see a FG try from 39 instead of 48?

Assinine play calling in the entire 4th quarter cost them the game.

This game was just pathetic. Anemic offense without Reggie. CBs getting beat all day; getting caught flat-footed. Carpenter ****ting the bed TWICE. Head scratching play calling. Costly turnovers. Penalties on ST that put them in terrible field position. If the played a competent team today, it would have been an embarrassing blowout. This was a team loss in the true sense of it.

On the very last play, why didn't we run a play up the middle instead of to the outside so the kick would've been easier??

I'm also not so upset because it's obvious which team has a better future. Sanchez has been in the league how long and he still looks like a horse turd in the pocket?
