Said everyone... http://www.thephins.com/forums/showthread.php?72070-quot-We-Sure-Could-Have-Used-Vontae-Today-quot
I don't think it could've been worse than Richard Marshall today. But, that's not the main reason Miami lost. Poor coaching decisions, and missed FGs.
This goddam team played with heart and hit hard all game and that's all you got? Philbin is building a winning culture. I'm proud of my team and sick of this crap every week
Might have done a better job than Carpenter today, lol. Also could have potentially done a better job than Marshall and Carroll.
One more good cover corner never hurts. No matter how you want to spin it, having him out there as a nickel or dime is an upgrade over Carroll and/or Wilson. If this season was more important than 2013 and beyond, you do not make the trade of Davis. Period. End of story.
And in 2013 he could equate to two picks for us....I will gladly take those fresh PICKS as being the most important ones.
Pauly, you don't run the ball on third and 7 at your own 32 to win the game, you use your best play to get more yards, to make the field goal less yards, it's freakin 101 sh&$...
They should have ran the ball three straight plays there... all they needed was a FG and Carpenter has generally been dependable... not today.
I said this exact thing in the opposite stupid thread last week: Dammit, this site pisses me off so much anymore.
Our defense had nothing to do with us losing this game. They gave up 13 regulation points, I don't care if they gave up a TD late they did enough to win.
Colts gave up a TD to at the end of the game to lose to the Jags. Not sure if it was Vontae that got beat, but there are 10 other guys on the football field.
Heh, so all america John Futzenutz can learn to be a pro for 2 yrs? Of all things NFL fans go through over valuing the draft is one of the oddest things to me.
Not overvaluing anything....its sunk cost, and getting two picks is what we have for him. Happy with the return on investment moving forward. Of all the things fans on this board think they have a clue about in building a team and/or calling plays on a given sunday is one of the oddest thing to me.
Because not being on the field now has what to do with his future? Did you see the interception thrown at Clyde Gates? That is one reason Egnew is not out there, they want him to actually be able to have a polished game when he steps onto the field rather than just being an athlete and playing sloppy. Also to work on his blocking, and some guy named Anthony Fasano who is a pretty decent all around TE.
Some of us have opinions on the job Jeff has done. Starting a thread EVERY ****ing week discussing the trading of a player (who, incidentally is getting TORCHED weekly) is a little bit tiresome. IMO, it should be locked up and the thread starter should be getting points. It's like the Wild ****ing West around here lately.
Was Davis torched today? Gabbert threw for 155 yds and 1 TD, and that pass wasn't into Davis' coverage as near as I could tell. I watched the replay of that TD and couldn't see #23 anywhere on the field.
What does this even have to do with Ireland ? .... ......... If one were to think the reason Vontae isnt on the team anymore is because Ireland decided to trade him because he loves 2nd rounders so much, than they have no clue how a football team works and no business criticizing anyone !
PFF gave him a better rating for pass coverage the first two weeks combined than they gave Nolan Carroll.
