JJ had some draft / FA strikeouts, but for every strikeout he hit a grand slam. The defense jj put together 96-98 was the cornerstone of the team for nearly a decade. At least he did something right and has more playoff appearances & wins than the next 12 years of coaches combined.
The same defense that in that very year DOMINATED the eventual AFC champs and the league MVP for '4 quarters'?? Thay may have had some collapses but don't go to crazy with that statement.
ARE YOU PEOPLE LOCCO ? wanny was a way , way better coach then Sparano . Wanny has two playoff victories maybe 4 3 or 4 but no way is wanny the worst. Wanny 's biggest bugabo was himtrying to play gm and he was never on the same page as speilman. Sparano murdered Ricky and Ronnie's career plus he and Dan Henning together murdered Chad Henne's career by dicking Chad around when he used the wildcat.
Wannstedt has the distinction of ruining two franchises because he did it to Chicago before he arrived in Miami. I can't help but believe he damaged this team more than anyone before or after. He did have a couple of good seasons but he did it with what JJ had built and he accomplished what he did just because of the talent left in place by JJ not because of his coaching skill.
