I don't have DirecTV and I am nowhere near the expert when it comes to judging QB play like many of you here. I may have good instinct for what defines a good QB, but that's about it With the first overall pick in the 2012 draft (taking in to account the first 4 games of the season) the Miami Dolphins select: Tell me why.
Four games in, how can you not go with whoever you would've gone with then? Were your judgments back then that flimsy?
I made no judegements since I had nothing to judge other than a lot of hype around Luck. I'm not in position to answer this either since I haven't seen much out of Luck or RG3 outside of highlights.
I this like overall player we would select? Fantasy draft? If it is give me Rodgers first. Or is it out of these five rookie QB's? Starting to fall for Tannehill but you can still give me Andrew Luck.
I think the OP is asking us to choose between Luck, RG3, Weeden, or Tannehill. I'd still go with Luck.
I misread you're saying what player should've we taken over Tannehill? Frankly no one. I wanted Ingram, DeCastro, Kuechly and I don't think either player warrants being drafted ahead of Tannehill.
4 games in with hindsight with the 1st you trade down for either RGIII or Tannehill and load up the offensive with picks. At the end of teh year is when you really need to ask this question.
Either you guys think my post is worthless, which is OK or you don't understand the jist of it. Looking at Tannehill right now, where does he rank from this rookie class through 4 games? Does he have the potential to be the best one out of the bunch ?
As far as next year, I would love to pull a St. Louis Rams and trade back a few picks for someone who wants Geno Smith (who is playing lights out) grab a 1st next year and take one of the top WRs.
Tannehill is better than anyone we could have gotten. Tannehill showed he is a franchise guy he is making Hartline look like a beast.
Does he have the potential to be the best? Yes. Here is how I rank them now in terms of their play right now: 1.) RG3 (He is more of a system fit, the Shanahan's are making sure he is fine in his own element) 2.) Luck (Harder offense to run out of the gate) 3.) Tannehill 4.) Weeden 5.) Wilson Most Potential: 1.) Tannehill (This could be controversial, but he has a cannon and has only played 23 games as a QB. It's scary how good he is already.) 2.) Luck 3.) RG3 4.) Wilson (If Weeden and Wilson were the same age I would have Weeden here) 5.) Weeden (His age gets him the last spot on the list)
No because you have to take into account his overall football body of work. With only 4 games in your risk using a #1 is much less on Luck or RGIIIthan on RT.
I'm kind of hoping for history to repeat itself in the form of the 83 QB class... The order in which they were taken means nothing but it would be cool to see this Andrew Luck- Jim Kelly RG3- John Elway Ryan Tannehill- Dan Marino Brandon Weeden- Ken Obrien Russell Wilson- Gary Kubiak Blackledge and Eason left off the list....
