Flopping penalties set. First violation will get a warning. After the warning, $5,000 fine for each flop. Possible suspension after 5 violations. What does everyone think?
Since flopping is really trying to draw a charge (or foul in the act of shooting)....and the opposite would be a Blocking Foul...I think it should be treated as non-shooting foul to the flopper. Tack it on...one step closer to fouling out of game. The money is meaningless really even if cumulative after the first warning for the rest of the season (which I doubt it will be - probably each new game it starts over, etc). Possible suspension also holds no meat. Its either a suspension after 5 or its not.
I think they will add suspension. It's not a possible suspension for each case. They're still deciding on whether or not to add it, I think.

FWIW the Knicks signed Rasheed Wallace the other day and are still pursuing Josh Howard. I knew Woodson wanted vets but this is ridiculous. The Knicks actually ARE the oldest team in NBA history.
