No he collapsed at the commentators booth, but it was during a match and it was probably 15 minutes or so after he wrestled.

THIS. Heard the PPV was pretty good, just reading the results they all made sense. Still think there's no point in having Punk lose the title to Cena so it should be interesting to see where they go from here. Obviously a rematch at HiTC but maybe we will see Punk & Brock vs. Cena & The Rock at Survivor Series?

Cena out 2 to 3 weeks with elbow surgery. Wonder what's going to happen with HiTC main event now and if they move Punk on to a new program or not.

Would love to see Punk carry the title for an entire year. I know he is close but having Punk carry the title for longer than anyone else in the modern era (Cena had it for a year too, so make Punk hold it for at least a day longer) would be an awesome feather in his cap.

Daniel Bryan and Kane are the best thing on WWE television right now. Funny stuff.

Summer Slam had a 50% increase in buys from last year's show. The WWE is going to be kissing Brock's butt and you can almost guarantee Lesnar will be headlining WM this year whether it's against The Undertaker or The Rock.

I guess they are setting up Punk/Ryback if Cena is not healthy enough to wrestle at HIAC?

IMO It should be Rock. Not just because he is my favorite but from this perspective:

    1) The match last WM between HHH and Undertaker was amazing. He should really leave on that note. Why keep punishing himself like that? I'm not sure he can do anything to top last year.

    2) Lesnar always got the best of The Rock. He's basically the one realistic guy left that Rock has to "prove his legacy" by beating.

Oh god I hope not but you're probably right. That match would be awful and I pray the WWE isn't stupid enough to put the belt on Ryback.

    1) Because Brock vs. Undertaker would probably be just as good, if not better. And The Undertaker would LOVE to wrestle a UFC style match. Plus Brock and Taker have put on awesome matches together and have really good chemistry. If Taker is healthy enough to go, why not.

    2) Brock vs. Rock would be an awesome match too. I'd probably rather see Brock/Rock instead of Brock/Taker but I really think either match would be great.

I don't know...that HIAC match was absolutely brutal (and incredible) and the end with both men being helped out by HBK is just a classic moment. I can't really imagine a better ending for a career. If he wants to do it he should and I'm sure it would be a great match. I just see last WM as the perfect "Walk off into the sunset" moment.

I can understand that thought process, but I just don't see The Undertaker being done yet. I think at WM we will either see Rock vs. Brock & Undertaker vs. Punk or Rock vs. Cena 2 and Undertaker vs. Brock.

I can safely say I don't want to see Rock/Cena again. Really let down by that match.

I think Undertaker vs Punk could be really interesting. Rock vs Brock could be interesting as well.

How would you feel about Rock vs Undertaker?

I agree about Rock/Cena. I thought that match at WM was pretty good but I have no desire to see them wrestle again.

I'd say no to Rock/Undertaker. Their past matches were never any good, just didn't click for whatever reason. I'm more interested in Brock/Taker or Taker/Punk instead.

Taker loves Brock. They are actually pretty good friends. I think its been rumored before that he would want to wrestle Brock in a retirement match.

All I know is if Taker wrestles again I want him to lose. I'm tired of watching matches I know he will win....even Andre The Giant lost eventually.

Let Punk beat Taker and have him go on basically an egotistical rampage. It would be great ammo for the "Best In The World" angle.

The Undertaker will never lose at WM, just way too much money the WWE would leave on the table if that happened. Even though we all know Taker won't lose it still doesn't make his WM matches any less special or less good. His past 4 matches, even when we knew he would win still had us on the edge of our seats.

Honestly only the last one really struck me, and that was because I thought there was the slimmest of chances he MIGHT lose. Even though I know that chance was less than 1%.

Not to say it can't still be a great match....it can...it's just a pointless match in my eyes. Wrestling is scripted so it's kind of dull when you know the script....if you get what I mean.

It's sad everything revolves around money, because you're right he will never lose for that reason.

I really don't mind if I know the outcome of a match before hand if it's going to be good to great. In fact I would rather watch good matches with known outcomes then crappy matches where the result isn't known.

Again if you think about a movie, take a superhero movie for example. You know in the end what's going to happen but it's all about the build and the story that movie tells that makes it good.

It's not just about money but the intrigue of it all. If the Undertaker lost a WM match then why should we get excited about him wrestling in a match? I mean if it was simply Taker vs. Triple H at let's say Summer Slam or Survivor Series then we wouldn't care at all. But because it's at WM and he's undefeated, it's a big deal.

It's a big deal because of the event and circumstances around it.

I see where you are coming from about the movie aspect. That's why I do agree the matches can still be great....but I don't know. If he lost it could really help build a new legacy for someone else. It would have to be someone who is staying in the business a while though.

It will probably be Brock vs Taker and Taker will win. It will be a great match....but I don't know. I guess I just want to see the streak end for the unpredictability factor. It would be one of those moments everyone in the generation talked about forever.

I completely agree but that's the problem. The WWE can't depend on anyone sticking around long enough that it would make sense to have Taker job too. I mean it wouldn't help the career or Cena or Orton or Punk at this point, it would have to be a newer guy. But that's again another problem since the WWE has been awful at making new stars. Sheamus is the obvious pick but again there's no guarantee that him winning would push him to that Cena type level and there's no guarantee he could stick around. Plus knowing the WWE they would have someone like Sheamus beat Taker and then job him 4 straight months and kill his push.

That's why it just makes more sense to let the streak live on and keep it going as long as Undertaker can walk because the risk/rewards are just too great to end it.

Whatever happens I hope this is his last one. I mean how long can you keep doing: "Undertaker comes back for WM and starts feud with superstar x, Undertaker wins"

I think it could still help Punk in the sense it would give him a sort of...historic defining moment for his career, as well as being a great ego tie in to the "Best In The World" claim. The whole leaving the company as champion thing was great but I don't see it being remembered ten or so years from now on it's own merit.

I think Cena is has been as high as a superstar can get, and people would detest Orton if he won. I could see Sheamus but for the reasons already stated it's a bad idea.

You're right that WWE would just end up burying whoever beat him anyway.

Well right now the plan is to run The Rock vs. CM Punk at the Royal Rumble for the WWE title, so Punk will be champion at least through January. With the way they started setting up Punk's respect gimmick and now there's a rumor Punk will face Foley the December PPV it would make sense that Punk would face The Undertaker at WM based on the whole "respect" thing. I think the original plan was to run Punk vs. Austin but Austin might not be healthy enough to wrestle by April (I think he got some type of surgery maybe neck surgery or I could be thinking of Edge). You can have The Rock beat Punk for the title at the Rumble and face Lesnar at WM and Punk face Undertaker.

Then have Punk or Cena vs. Rock/Brock at the April PPV with Punk/Cena winning the title back.

I'd LOVE to see a John Cena & The Rock vs. CM Punk & Brock Lesnar match at the Survivor Series. I actually think that match would draw super well.

As far as the Undertaker goes, I had zero faith in him (or Triple H) that they could put on good matches at the last two WM and was proven dead wrong. As long as Taker can go and has the right opponent (someone he can throw around and beat up not someone like Kane or The Big Show) I'm all for Taker to keep coming back until he proves he can't put out a good match.

Yeah that's not good, it looks like the guy hit him by mistake trying to put his glasses back on after cheering because he was on TV. Punk was getting pushed around a bit and when you get hit on your head you need to defend yourself, especially because you don't know what kind of idiots are in the crowd, so I kind of understand from Punk's perspective but yeah the WWE better fork over some cash.

It's an unfortunate situation but I doubt Punk will get suspended by it, he'll use the defense claim here. Maybe they will stop having their wrestlers run through the crowd now.

Security should have been there, I'm sure they were told in advance what was going to happen. you get a 2.6 rating last week and have to trot a 67 yr old owner to come out and wrestle your champion hoping to pop a rating, after you just had a 63 yr old have a heart attack 3 weeks ago on tv. I know there is no correalation between the 2 people but Vince was gassed after about 5 minutes. If they do Punk and Ryback it will remind of when NWA in the 80's did Flair against Nikita Volkoff. Putting a champion against a Big Muscle Wrestler.

The issue is once he proves he can't put on a good match, it's already done and his last appearance will have been a dud. Not exactly how you want to go out.

Yup having Vince come out to face CM Punk was a complete overreaction and just shows that the WWE just doesn't understand people aren't going to watch RAW when Monday Night Football is on. I don't care who they have out there, it could be The Rock vs. Brock on free TV and more people would still watch MNF.

I get what you're saying about Lawler etc but there's really no correalation between them. Sure Vince was gassed but that segment served it's purpose and it's not like McMahon took any crazy bumps most of the match was him on his back, laying down or standing around. I don't think anyone was expecting them to put on even a 2 star classic, everyone was just waiting for another wrestling to come out and make the save. Plus if Vince were to have a heart attack and die in the ring, somehow I think McMahon himself would feel it would be a fitting way for him to leave the world. After all ratings would be up the next week right?

I will say it's nice they're trying to build up Ryback as a Goldberg type but I do question them putting him up with Punk so soon. The money is on Punk vs. The Rock at the Rumble for the title and Punk holding onto the belt that long. It just seems like it would be another depush to put Ryback in a match with Punk and not have him walk out with the belt, or if he does he needs to lose the belt right back to Punk. It would have worked better if Ryback did that with a heel champion on Smackdown. But what do I know?

And I just can't stand Ryback's finisher, I HATE how he marches with the guy on his shoulders, it just looks so silly. They just should have given him the spear/jackhammer finisher.

Yeah I get that, but as long as he stops after that dud and doesn't turn into Ric Flair or Hogan he'd be fine. But I think he and the WWE are smart enough to put him in matches with guys that can carry him. I don't think you'd see the Undertaker face Kane or The Big Show or Mark Henry at this point in his career. It will be the Punks, Rocks, Lesnars, Bryans of the world. Plus even if the match is simply an average match, with the streak on the line and all the drama people would look past that.

Punk made a BIG mistake. And it was caught on national television with his boss standing right there watching. I wouldn't shock me if they hotshot the belt off of him next week, or at the very least, have him drop it at Hell in the Cell. With!inda's senate campaign going on and Vince escalated bat****tery as of late, heads will roll.

Good point about Linda's campaign. Completely forgot about that, kind of ironic since I live in CT too. I hope they don't hotshot the belt off of Punk especially with him starting to really catch fire but yeah it wouldn't shock me either now.

Again though and I'm not trying to defend Punk but he wasn't in a great situation and was pushed around numerous times, perhaps he could have acted better though. I mean from what I hear the guy is a pretty big jerk in real life, it wouldn't shock me if he was looking for a fight.

And also they should have just named him Goldberg. I don't know what WWE is thinking, they won't be able to re-conjure even a little of what WCW did when they caught lightning in a bottle with Goldberg 15 years ago. [I can't believe it's been that long] The only reason the undefeated streak gimmick worked so well the first time is a) it had never been done before and b) Goldberg had the perfect beast look for it. Also I think Goldberg was legitimately stronger. I was watching Raw the other day and it looked like Ryback had trouble performing his finisher against a 350 lb. [I can't remember the guy's name, he's big and kind of fat and comes out with a japanese wrestler sometimes] opponent. He ended up finishing the match with a clothesline. Goldberg could do his finisher on ANYBODY. I remember watching him successfully jackhammer Big Show in the late 90s.

Ryback is actually a pretty successful character though. Tensai sandbagged the move as Ryback has done it on him before. He isn't Goldberg, but the monster face he is portraying is pretty good. He is what he is.

Funny thing that people forget is that Goldberg's 1st push/run was kind of a disaster/forgotten. He debuted on Nitro in September of 1997 and was stuck in a nowhere feud with Steve McMichael, Alex Wright and Debra for the rest of the year and he got little reaction. They took him off TV for a week or two and had him come back as a face and just destroy people in the ring and that's when the lightning hit. So it even took Goldberg 5 or 6 months to truly catch on and get hot.

I think the WWE should try like crazy to get Goldberg to sign on for a match against Ryback at WM and job to him.

The only guy that I can remember that truly debuted on national TV (not just switching from the WWE to WCW/ECW) for the first time and was over immediately was Brock Lesnar.
