I know the idea is to do it against a low draw team like the Rams but, would this ot be more suitably done against a divisional team? Week 13 against the Patriots would have been perfect. Instead they choose to honour two great players at halftime of a game where they MIGHT be 50,000 in the stadium.

I want Madison getting a spot there also. For 2-3 years I felt he was the best CB in football. Surtain will probably get it first if either does though since I believe he had a longer tenure....

    They were both good.

    We sure wasted that defense.

But hey, what could Trent Green do that Fiedler couldn't?????

Madison had longer tenure (9 years vs 7), and had more pro-bowls and all-pro selections (though I think Surtain should have had more of both than he did).

Surtain was one of my favorite players as a kid. Good to see Zach and JT going in together. I'd hope Surtain and Madison go in together as well.

I also hope the new uniforms next year look like those.

I think ZT will record 7 tackles just on his way to the podium/midfield.

Anybody else seriously considering painting their elbows red for the occasion?

I told them but as it turns out uniforms cant talk. :)

I think you can argue about the Chargers powder blues and the Phins unis all day and neither would be wrong. Those are my two favorite.

Totally agree. It's why I don't understand the angst and debate when we discuss "uniform changes". Fine, change them....to those and never change again.

Will rep my Thomas jersey with pride.

I ran in to him at the Sawgrass Mall over the summer. He was with his kid going to the restroom and he was PISSED about something. Last thing I wanted to do was to bother him especially in the state that he was in, never wanted to be THAT guy. It was just awesome to see him out there, like a regular person. What's crazy is that my gilrfriend pointed him out lol. We were waiting for our food, her eyes got big and she whispered "Babe, Zach Thomas is behind you" me being like all meh, whatever. Then he walks by...lol I didin't even have to see his face, recognized his square head from behind. He went to the bathroom, as did I (no, really, I had to use the bathroom lol I swear) and I heard him, and that confirmed it. He came out the stall with his kid, I looked at him, nodded - he nodded back and I walked out.

    Zach is the man.

You can't. In 2003 NFL had a "throwback" Thanksgiving season. Made one time for that occasion. Maybe they were on sale back then, but you won't find one.

Lame that a thread about honoring Zach and JT got hijacked into a thread about uniforms.

Zach and JT were warriors who represented this team as good as anyone who ever wore aqua and orange. I'm so glad that the one Dolphin game I'm going to is this one.

I can't say enough about Thomas and Taylor. I grew up with them in Dolphin uniforms. Really started getting into the sport and the team in 1994 and they were drafted a few years later (Thomas was '96 and Taylor '97 I believe.) They were so dominant and it was such a joy to watch them do their thing for so long in aqua and orange. Truly deserved for both guys.

By the way, the NFL shop online has almost every Dolphin player available in aqua. Seriously. And not customized ones.

Dan Carpenter of Brandon Fields? They have both.
Charles Clay or Anthony Fasano? Both.
Reshad Jones or Chris Clemons? Both.
Olivier Vernon, Nolan Carroll, Michael Egnew, Daniel Thomas, Richard Marshall, Jimmy Wilson are all available.
They even have Artis Hicks. ARTIS HICKS!

    And, my personal favorite...

Congrats to Zach and JT. Fitting the join the ROH together.

And, I agree it should've been scheduled against a divisional foe, like NE or the Jests.
