This surely deserves its own thread. IMHO Zach Thomas is the greatest MLB to EVER play the game... and his bro JT, the greatest DE. These guys were the heart and soul of this team for many years. If this doesn't give the team added motivation this week, then nothing will! Zach is my favorite player ever, and I still have my authentic Zach jersey, and I'll be wearing it! Zach's ability to diagnose a play, pre-snap, was second to none. He was the first player to have a hyperbaric chamber as well (I think his has cycled through a couple players too). Student of the game, and was able to handle the 3-4 or 4-3 D, which is rare. He could always be counted on, and you could always chalk-up 10 tackles, and in him prime, he was a ball-hawk as well, with at least 4 TD's. Who could ever forget that flip into the endzone against the Titans? Here are some old graphics returned... feel free to use! Avys: JT had that amazing burst, and non-stop motor... He had the long arms, and ability to reach around the QB and snatch the ball! Just as his brother-in-law, JT converted well to a 3-4 as an OLB, producing a DPOY award.
I am so excited to be at this game to see both HOF get honored. I grew up a huge fan of both and cannot wait to give them the standing ovation they deserve. Best DE ever though lol relax. They are both amazing but idk about best. I am pretty sure LT is a better LB along with many others (zack is def one of the best under 6 ft.) and IDK if J.Taylor is even top 10 all time (reggie white, Deacon jones, bruce smith, Howie Long, Jack youngblood, and even Jared Allen.) either way it is going to be a great day and though I will be rooting for the Rams I will be honoring some of my favorite players of all time......I AM EXCITED TO SAY THE LEAST.
Two all time greats for us. No dobut about it. Should be good to see them get honored this weekend. Well deserved. Getting a win for these guys on Sunday would be fantastic as well!
Oh and sorry about the light blue around the graphics... I was at an alternative board, with that color way back.
Never much cared for JT. Good player but such a "me" guy. I'll be happy to honor ZT. The guy was a "rolling ball of butcher knives". Zach was the total package.
