Neat. Rams are 29th overall in offense (30th in passing and 22nd in rushing) and 14th on defense. Miami is 13th overall in offense (18th in passing 9th in rushing) and 15th on defense. (numba 1 run stoppaz) Made my bets today with my co-worker thats a rams fan. Big money $$$
Just I can't see the Rams score more then 10 points on us, really I can't. If I had to make a prediction I would say Dolphins 24 - Rams 9
If the rams get to the 50 they are in FG range haha with our kicker hitting 74 yarders in practice. So all we need is for our D to hold the phins to a punt since majority of the kickoffs are touchbacks and the punts are usually on the 10.
dont doubt legatron haha that is how we beat seattle, just FGs and nothing else really. (2 58+ yarders plus a few others) He broke the all-time record for a FG at soldier field and then at home back to back weeks haha this man is a god. (13 for 13) To hold 7 NFL records by your 5th NFL game is kinda amazing. Longest Field Goal in Rams History: 60 yards First player in NFL History to make a 60-yarder and a 50-plus yarder in one game. Longest Field Goal in the first quarter: 58 yards Longest Field Goal at Soldier Field: 56 yards First Rookie to ever hit a 60 yard Field Goal Longest Field Goal in the 3rd Quarter: 60 yards Most 58+ yard Field Goals in a single game: 2
The only way Fins lose is if it becomes a FG contest - Carpenter vs Legatron. No prizes for guessing who wins that battle. Chances of that are slim though. Fins can move the ball effectively against anyone. They just have to hold onto the ball - no turnovers.
O I am not ashamed to admit I love myself some kicker, being a UCF football fan (if anybody else is on this forum) I know the horrors of a bad kicking game.
Let's be honest... Does anyone outside of the rams call him "legatron". Amazing kicker or not that's more lame than anything, lol.
I don't think anyone is doubting your kicker, No doubt he's balls. But if he's the only one scoring for you guys sunday I REALLY like our chances.
The Rams actually did not nickname him that "After Week 4, in a "Grantland" article, sports and pop-culture writer Bill Simmons popularized a nickname for Zuerlein, Legatron." Ever since then I have heard it said on Sportscenter, during our Thursday night game (Sanders and Irvin called him that) as well as many media outlets. Just like the nickname Dan "should have been a" Carpenter
Yeah, even the radio guys up here call him Legatron. I think it's an awesome nickname. May he feel free to continue his assault on the record books starting next week.
30-16? no team has dropped 30 on us all year, im doubting the Dolphins will....not saying you guys wont win, but if you do, im 99.9% sure you wont score 30
His nickname that Rams fans gave him was Greg "the Leg" and also "Young GZ" (obviously because of his name.) They call him legatron though because supposedly they say he has the leg of a robot and no human should be able to kick the way he does. IDK I still like GZ personally.
yeah he's way better than Chris Long or Courtland Finnegan two guys who are both probably in the top 10 at their position(pff had Finnegan rated the third best corner in the league last year). Or guys like Scott Wells and Quintin Mikell who have both been pro bowlers and all pros or Danny Amendola who was easily one of the best receivers in the league. Or even Janoris Jenkins who may win defensive rookie of the year, Robert Quinn(who has more sacks than Wake) or Sam Bradford who won rookie of the year and is less than 8 months older than your rookie QB(how is Tannehill 24 and a rookie btw?). Good lord I have never seen fans of a team that is 2-3 who are so dismissive of other teams talent. Clearly you guys are so talented that if we both had played a common opponent you guys would of been far more impressive against them right? Oh wait a second.
says the guy who bleeds soccer... oh, I am sorry.. football. or footie. as opposed to 'american footie'
It would be fine if actually true. Courtland Finnegan, Chris Long, Scott Wells, Stephen Jackson, Danny Amendola, Sam Bradford, Janoris Jenkins, Robert Quinn and on but a kicker is our best player? Ok
No need to get pissed off, we are on their forum of course they are going to think their team is better just like we do on Clanram.com. When a fan base starts to admit they have no chance, then the fan base becomes a joke. IDK if you expected the Fins fans to just say "O Rams are better no need to show up." It is honestly like being a Republican at a Democratic convention, though you may feel your side is better etc. You have to expect to have people saying their side is better and pointing out all the flaws of the opposition.
And about our kicker, he has scored 42 out of our 93 points so it is hard to argue with his importance.
Next on Masterpiece troll theater, Faulk28 will attempt to explain 5th dimensional thought processes to said troll in the context of buying a hoagie at the concession stand...
So the troll's body would be the alpha, the concessions stand and line of people and stadium the beta, with the fantasy of the anticipated hoagie and perception interpreted as hunger as theta... and the lightbody would be observing all of this like the gamecam on the wires above the field? I'm lost.
In a low-brow Freudian kind of way. However the troll would be in beta(troll ego consciousness), Alpha might constitute awareness of the line. While hunger could indeed possibly encompass all of said troll's reptilian functioning mind's universe. Therefore constituting a rough facsimile of universal troll fan consciousness. . . . . . NFL troll fans have different physiology. For instance, their chakras are activated by deli meats. That's probably where you got confused...
First let me say Welcome! With that said this is my view (stats coming from FOOTBALL OUTSIDERS): The Rams defense is a good one ranking #3 against the pass but # 25 against the run. Yet their pass defense has weaknesses both against a #2 WR (ranked #10) and the RB (ranked #31). The dolphins defensive ranking is #1 against the run and have improved to #9 against the pass putting them into the #5 ranked defense overall after 4 weeks by FOOTBALL OUTSIDERS. Our biggest problems lie against TE's and also RB's (#25) Lets also look at the two QB's: Sam Bradford, a #1 pick of 3 years ago, who had some success in his rookie outing record wise (7-9), is ranked just behind, you guessed it, Ryan Tannehill, our rookie. And while Tannehill's INT problems are well stated at 6 Bradford's 5 during this same period speaks volumns. Bradford's 159 passes for 916 yards = 5.76 ypc Tannehill's 179 passes for 1187 yards = 6.63 ypc With both passers being 57/58 % passers, a somewhat disappointing figure for Sam given his #1 pick status and 3 years in the pros. Finally yet most importantly the Rams have yet to prove they can win away from their beloved Dome, including this year. Where both losses have come at the hands of teams they have played on the road. The weather this Sunday will be in the mid 80, humid with a 30% chance of rain, and winds above 10 knots. Certainly not condusive to great play by a team known to have trouble winning on the road in an open arena. Good luck and enjoy the game.
I believe no one is doubting the qualities of the players that you have mentioned above, my answer was in reference to the kicker which is good, but is not the only reason why your team is playing well, in a different note I wish we had him to be our kicker. We are 2-3 like you mentioned, but if we you did watch our games you would had realized that we are playing like a 4-1 team, personally I feel confident that the Dolphins will win JMHO
The media is acknowledging we are hardly anything like what our a record shows. its fine man, this is going to be just like the bengals thread. they came in peacefully acting all nonchalant, as time went by they started to get a little bit more hostile and somewhat ignorant.... then come game day after the game ended they were all MIA aside from like one person. (assuming they werent all banned). I think this is going to happen quite a bit this season... teams come over to talk smack and get the beat down when they thought it should be an easy W. Everything ive read including all standings, player stats and opinions from writers show a phins win, and phins being the stronger team overall with a slight advantage on D to the rams (should change after this game ).. thats about it. Both teams have alot more questions than answers still at this point in the season, but i just closed out my 30-16 phins call :P sunday come faster.
And the Rams should be 4-1 to as they got screwed by crap refs @ detroit in week 1 and gave the bears all they wanted in week 3 and had a chance to win that game with 7 min left. The Rams will win this sunday and im not even sure its gonna be close. Fischer owns rookie QBs
Its not the same as it is here. Not by a long shot. Its hitting the 90s with high humidity in October. Its significantly cooler in St Louis.
