Quite interesting. Wouldn't be the first time Bill has jilted someboody at the altar.

However, I do kind of find it hard to believe that Wayne would screw another owner like that. Espescially if Blank and Parcells had a handhake deal or something like that.

ESPNEWS is reporting that he has turned down the Falcons and that the Dolphins have submitted a new, revised offer.

It appears that I was wrong. Seems Miami really is back in the race.

Will Bill Parcells replace someone in the front office or will he just take up a new role?

I'd assume he would be over all of the
    football operations.

Right out of the gate he wouldn't replace anyone likely. Mueller will llikely be phased out.

Yes. Mort was just on ESPN and was very vague on what his role would be. He said Parcells doesn't want to be a GM. I imagine he would reorganize the FO and hire a hand-picked GM. Of course, he'll be the one that has final say on personnel matter.

Another wild situation for this franchise.

I honestly don't know whether I feel Parcells will be good or bad for this franchise. Having said that, I find myself on pins and needles about the prospect of him coming on board.

The move makes sense but so did JJ Johnson and Nick Saban.
We've had so many bizarre things happen from good hiring decisions that I don't know what to think. I can only imagine how frustrated and gunshy Wayne H. must feel at this point.

Hopefully he comes on board, dosen't quit to coach a high school cheerleader squad or get abducted by aliens and is able to turns things around.

Such great news. Parcells brings instant credibility, and attracts a lot of free agents.

Mueller will be out, or a figurehead.

That is just it. what would his role be (Head/President of Football Operations) what the hell does that mean really.

If Randy is GM and Cam is HC what has really changed?

I personally like the direction the team and organization are going in the rebuilding (no I dont like the record but that is a by-product of past decisions as much as any current on field decision by a 1st year ever head coach) process. The past draft to build on the drafts by Saban and get the maximum out of his picks, plus get 10 new guys is amazing. How can you knock Randy and Cam as a draft team?

So what does Parcells really add in the short run and what does his role mean in the long run. Glad to have him, but just not thinking it changes a whole lot right now.

Yes. They have seen what Parcells has done.

    Even Vonnie Holliday says so.
