Damn fine game. I made some jorts to wear for the first game and they are officially 3-0. I put them on during this game when the Gators were down 14-7... the rest is history.

The jorts are officially lucky in my eyes. I plan on wearing them under my scrubs for my first dental block exams on Monday. I sure hope they help me.

Assuming Kentucky isn't a trap game, I think we could get Gameday again for LSU.

The Oline is not getting it done in short yardage situations but the Offensive play calling is not helping them out either at times. Driskel played so well I couldn't even believe. Brantley never played that good at UF. He is only going to get better and we should be getting him more talented WR's year after year. Very excited by what I saw in Knoxville.

I Don't think it was a half time adjustment more then I think the Vols started to get tired. Especially on defense with there front 7. They had some guys get hurt and those big guys were tired. Florida took some punishment in the first half when they had some back ups in but that allowed the starters to be fresher later in the game. The defense in the 2nd half didn't look too much different. The big difference was the Vols seemed to stop making plays. Patterson almost had a TD on a beautiful pass and Hunter dropped a pass that would have been a 1st down. The Vols late in the game got into a lot of passing situations and that plays into the Gators hands.

LSU game is going to be so tough but I will say that I actually think we can win this year.

Thanks Man. Duke Johnson looks like a star man. Hope you guys continue to improve.

It's hilarious that CBS yanked UT v UF as their premiere Game of the Week for an absolute embarrassing game in Bama v Arkansas. A week after Arkansas got pwnt by UL-M the CBS actually thought that would be a game worth showing on National TV? LOL.

The Gators need to play a better first half. All three games this year they've gotten off to horrible starts, for the most part, If they hope to beat UGA, SCU and LSU (doubtful I'll admit there) they need to start a lot faster.

Horrible Starts? Florida had absolutely no tape on Texas A&M and had no real idea what they were going to do. As bad as it was they were only down 17-10 at half. When Florida played Tennessee they went into halftime 14-10. Horrible starts seems way off IMO.

I think relative to the 2nd halves they were horrible. Just on absolute standards I'd say the first halves were sub-par. ;)

You very well could be right that UT just got tired. Makes sense, was still a tight game until late in the 3rd. Then we kind of blew them away. Pretty bad, IMO, if your conditioning does not get you through the 3rd quarter though. Could also explain the wr drops they had late.

I am more skeptical of competing with LSU. However, I can't wait to see how we measure up. I do think we have a solid chance now against South Carolina and UGA. Either way, if Driskel keeps improving... going to be exciting around here for a while!

There is no doubt that the opponents get tired at the end of games. That is one of Coach Champs main objectives .Wear down the opponents .Thats why I mentioned depth as one of our main assets .We are constanly rotating the front seven to keep them fresh.

The Tennessee first half was not awful. I mean they had one drive that was fueled by some flags and then the one drive they hit every 3rd and long. I just don't think it was terrible. The Texas A&M first half was very frustrating to watch cause we could not get stops. I still don't think any half was horrible considering. You can only be so conditioned. I mean your going to get tired when your playing as many minutes as some of those guys were. I do think the Vols did improve from last year tho.

LSU game is interesting cause both teams have great defenses. Which ever offense is more effective is obviously going to win. We are def going to be battle tested when that game comes around tho.

Dominique Easley has been seen on Crutches this week at Florida. His status for the game is Questionable. I seriously doubt that the coaches will risk having him play v.s. Kentucky. I expect Earl Okine to start at DE. Maybe even Bullard start in his place.

Tyler Moore transferring to Florida! He started last year at RT for Nebraska and was suppose to start this year at LT. He left the school because he said he was unhappy.

I actually know Tyler Moore. He went to High School at the same school as a couple of my Cousins (School like 15 min from me). I met him playing basketball and let me just say this kid is a workout warrior. Him and his Dad were always Jacked. Everyone knew he was going to Nebraska because of his family ties there. He also visited FSU.

Congrats to Florida. Getting a really good player in Moore. First true freshman to ever start a game for Nebraska on the OL. There is much more to the story than unhappy, but it covers it fairly nicely.

BIG Game this week. LSU has not looked dominant. Hoping we can shock them. Not sure we have the horses on offense yet, though. I think our D should hold them in check most of the game, but we need our offense to move the ball and keep our defense off the field and fresh.

I think you can call the last games for LSU as letdown games .They played to the level of their rivals .I expect they will play their best against the Gators and the Gators need to play the very best to have a chance .If they keep it close it could come down to a FG.

Another comment, and hopefully I can explain my thoughts well...

Anyone else getting the vibe that this is a no win game for us? I feel like if we lose all we will hear is how we are obviously not that good yet. However, seems like everyone is talking down how LSU has played so far, so even if we win I think we are just going to hear how over rated LSU was and no real credit to us. Anyone else getting that feeling?

Yea, but to be fair LSU is over rated. At this point I could care what the national media thinks. A win over LSU will give this team great confidence going into the South Carolina-Georgia games. If we win those games, everything else will take care of itself.

It wasnt as close as I thought it would be.Gators dominated LSU in all aspects of the game especially in the second half .Great adjustments again in the second half .

LSU was indeed overated.Their QB really sucks and they have no explosive players on offense.:pity: .....thankfully .

Agreed. I still think LSU was lucky to even score at all. They first drive they moved the ball mostly due to penalties and then the turnover in our own red zone on the second FG.

The second half adjustments are great, but I you can also see the other teams wear down. UF must have a hell of a strength and conditioning program. There is nothing like watching a vaunted defense like LSU know you are going to run the ball and just physically not being able to stop you.

South Carolina has moved up to number 3 and we are number 4 in the polls. As long as we stay focused against Vandy and SC takes care of LSU, the SC-UF game is going to be huge.

Great game! All I could think about at the end is we LSU'ed LSU. We just kept pounding them ALL night long. They knew it was coming and could not stop it. LOVED IT. Amazed we could win and only throw the ball, what, 12 times? AMAZING

It was an underwhelming performance by the Gators. If it wasnt for STs and Driskell legs it would have been a loss. Vandy has improved a lot and their coach had a great game plan to stop the Gator offense .

They are better than the Vols and Cats IMO and they can beat anyone if they are overlooked.

I am concerned that the lack of a passing offense will bite us sooner or later. The drops and the penalties were frustrating too.

On the plus side there finally was a Debose sighting.

We definitely could have lost that game. We always have a tough time playing at Vandy. Good to get the win and now start focusing on USC. Going to be a hard fought struggle like LSU. I think if the crowd shows up and makes it a tough environment we have a good chance to win. Looked like USC's QB got rattled a bit playing in Death Valley Sat night! Hope we can make him feel just as uncomfortable!

Side note: we are number 2 in the initial BCS rankings!!!!! Who would have thought that would have happened this season!?

This is the toughest game to judge all year. I mean I just don't know how good South Carolina is to be honest. Lets just ask ourselves how good is South Carolina?

    South Carolina is 6-1
There only loss came to a very good LSU team on defense.
Big Wins? They absolutely destroyed Georgia.
Close games? They ended up Beating Vanderbilt 17-13 (1st game of the year) and they beat Kentucky 38-17 (this game was super close until the end of the game.)
Other wins? ECU (48-10), UAB (49-6), and Mizzou (31-10). None of those teams are good tho.

Now the Georgia win was absolutely dominant. They won every phase of that game. The LSU game they should have never been in. They were helped all night by LSU mistakes and they should have lost by at least 2 td's.

Florida and South Carolina are so similar It's really crazy. The Gator rely on defense a lot like South Carolina. Both have running qb's who can throw an both have great tailbacks. This should be great game.

Marcus Lattimore may also be out or limited Saturday due to a Hip injury.

I saw that, but all I could think was it is the 'ole ball coach' playing games. Just have not figured out which way yet... Either he is setting up excuses if we win, or he is being deceptive and Lattimore is fine and will play....

Just got back from the game! As Mick Hubert would say "OH MY was that a game". I don't think I've ever seen a QB throw for 4 touchdown passes and have less than 100 yards passing, or a team put up 44 points with less then 200 yards of offense. Also if Evans or Reed come out this year, I hope the dolphins look at one of them. Bring on the dawgs!
