On the one hand, we already have a loss to the Jets with both our games vs. the Pats remaining. On the other hand, the Patriots are the stronger team, and every loss they incur should help the Dolphins long term. So, who are you rooting for?

    One Thing at a Time!

    1. Keep the Jests ",, Down! Doobie! Down! Down!" Where They Should Be!!!

    2. Let the Pats recover from the stomping and romping being placed upon them, and when they relax - romp and stomp on them some more!

Won't root for either of them. But since one of them has to win, i hope the jets win because every loss to New England means that a division win remains possible.

We win either way because one of them will be 3-4

It's hard to pick one for a win being our div but I see the Jets falling more than the Pats so a Pats loss would be better for us but I cannot root for the Jets.

This question makes me feel like a girl trying to figure out what to wear.

I'd rather see the Jets win just to knock New England down. Hopefully they'll come into the matchup next week overconfident against the Dolphins.

That said, I'm expecting New England to blow them out.

always root against the Jets, otherwise if it's bills vs patriots, I root for the home team. don't want a division rival gaining momentum on the road.

Hate the Jets more, but I hope they win for 2 reasons -

    1. They are an up and down team. A win will make them more complacent when they face us.

    2. New England is the more dangerous team, so any loss for them is great.

I really have no idea as it pertains to which scenario gives us the best chance to win the following week..

    Without Revis and Holmes, Jetssuck.

Which outcome would make the Dolphins more likely to beat the Jets the following week? That's the outcome everyone should be rooting for. I just don't know the answer. Typically you'd want to see the Jets win because then they'd be riding a high and would be in for a letdown. But then if they lose as badly as Vegas is predicting (I saw the line at -10.5) the Jets could also just be down in the dumps and find it difficult to muster up the strength to beat us.

Either way, I tend to think Miami has the advantage next week.

I would like to see sanchize do so bad that they have to play Tebow and he pulls out a win in the last minute. That would send the NY media into a frenzy. Gives the jest more things to worry about instead of preparing for us.

There's a part of me that's kind of afraid of what might happen next week if Tebow is their QB. I know it's irrational but the guy did author a totally ridiculous comeback against us with the Broncos last year. There was nothing rational about what he did. In fact after the game several of the Dolphins players said with a totally straight, non-sarcastic face that Tim Tebow is favored by God. Not kidding. Dansby was one of them. How do you fight a guy that can get into your players' heads like that?

Jetssuck would be dissapointed in me. He might have even removed me from the friends list, but I picked the Jets. Its the best case scenario in IMO. I want the Jets to take the Pats down one game and we will take the Jets down one game, I am not worried about the Bills. If those to things happen, the Bills are bound to lose a game and we will rule the AFC East for the first time in a long time!

Don't we have to root for the Pats?

We control our own destiny against the Pats at this point. The Jets have the tie breaker on us plus a better division record.

Good point but tie breakers don't matter if we have more wins at the end of the season. I would rather hope for that and not worry about tie breakers. Rooting for the Jets this week then beating them the week after is the earliest possible way to have more wins than both teams.

Agree with Fin D...no option for earthquakes or volcano? Either way only one will lose so ill only be 50% happy. I guess the Jets winning would be the lesser of two evils since the Pats are the better team but the Pats will probably clown them by like 30.

I am disappointed Boik. You're from the area! You should want to see the Jets embarrassed as much as I do.

Seriously though, I will never root for the Jets unless it was absolutely necessary for us to make the playoffs/win the division. And it being only week 7 and everyone at 3-3, this is not that time.

Also, Mark Sanchez is a mentally fragile QB. If he struggles again and the Jets get their asses handed to them, it will benefit us going to Jersey next week.

I sympathize, but a little unsportsmanlike. Make it both teams' players are out for the week from smoke inhalation, from which they will fully recover, but as the Jets exit the burning stadium a pipe bursts, showering the entire team and coaching staff with raw sewage.
