Per Aqua's request I started a thread for this.. Just saw on NFL Total Access that an MRI revealed no structural Damage to Ryan Tannehill's Knee. Dodged that bullet
I really hope he plays, I have been looking forward to the Tannehill vs Luck showdown since preseason
I was expecting this thread. Thanks. Good news. I never doubted it, but its good to see confirmation.
Between old division rivals too. Dolphins and Colts did have a pretty good one for a while. The Shula days, then some good matches during the final years of the Colts in the AFC East.
You smell like Tom Arnold's dirty underwear. ..... and not just b/c you were wearing 'em like a bomber hat. Thanks in advance for the Fist Bump.
Colts have a tough team. They weren't as bad as they looked last year with injuries. Going to be a very tough game. It would have been great to see a healthy Tannehill against Luck as well. But, SO very glad it is not a serious injury. Hopefully he'll be back the following week.
IMO he plays. You don't announce that he plays until Sunday morning of course. Let the colts d coordinator worry about both qbs.
If I were you guys, I would not count too high on Tanny playing. Hyperextending can cause lots of swelling and more than likely leave a bruise. That thing could be tender as hell for a week or more.
I"ll never forget one game where we were winning in the 4th quarter and some fat D-lineman of the Colts intercepted the ball and took it to the house for about 40 yards or so. I'm shady on the details, but that was back when they were a division rival. I miss those days, to be honest I still have the old divisions memorized and have never bothered to memorize the new divisions because I hate them. lol
I REALLY hope he plays... Most are more confident in Moore than I! He is good in the role of backup, and coming in if the team hasn't game-planned for him, and he doesn't have to win the game. He showed us typical MMoore during that game, making a great throw one play, and getting happy feet the next. COME ON TANNY!
Great news! Hope he is back for the colts game but I doubt it. The way Philbin talked about him and dodging the question at Monday's presser came off as that competitive-not willing to tell you if he is injured or not strategy.
I'll certainly be willing to not know until gametime as long as the Colts don't know until then either.
I don't think you play him unless he's 100%, and like others have said you hold your cards close on him playing or not as much as you can.
Are you sure you aren't thinking of Steve Emtman's 90 yard INT return in 1992? He wasn't really a "fat" guy and we were down at the time but driving for the go-ahead score, but that is the Colts DL INT return that I remember from that general time period.
Colts have the 27th ranked run defense...our run game didn't look too great against the Jets 30th ranked D...but they also got a big lead early thanks to the ST and Def. I want to see the run game regardless of who is in at QB. Give Miller some touches and more to Bush. They should work on screens too.
That scares me. Matt Moore on film now in this offense. Philbin should leave it open till game time. Make that decision late. Painstaking preparation for both QBs.
