All of the leaders really; marched off the court immediately and ignored Ray Allen coming over. I got 0 respect for anyone but Doc.
Is it wrong that it took me this long to notice the "little details" on the Heat opening day uniform?
All I have to say is....
Rondo needs emotional help. Seriously. Grow up man you aren't five years old anymore. 1 down and 81 to go.
yep Boik. You hated Large sample sizes...how bout head to head on opening night? Jason Terry: 24 minutes, 2-7, 8 pts. 1 stl., 1 ***., 3 PF's, 3 TO's. Ray Allen: 30 Minutes, 5-7, 19 pts., 2 rebs., 2 ***., 1 PF's, 0 TO's.
Oh..and those Juggernaut Lakers are getting SMASHED by Lottery favorite, or 8th seed fodder Dallas without Dirk.... on opening night..in LA...with Dwight Howard fouling out. It sucks to be Old and Slow.
Oh..and the Mavs? played Up Tempo, and pushed the ball with superstars Darren Collison, and OJ Mayo, and ran the Lakers out of their own building. I could have swore that somebody said something about that....
Rondo is not only a gigantic *****....but one of the UGLIEST ****ing guys I have EVER seen. Jesus....he's busted as hell.
Yea. What's funny is this girl tried to tell me he was so cute. And I responded in shock. Guess there is no hope for even us good looking white guys anymore. I was stunned
There was no stopping the Collison / Mayo combo. Jordan, Pippen.....D-Wade and Lebron......Collison and Mayo.
But but but Dwight is so good he's just going to block everything those perimeter players allow past them into the stands. Remember? But seriously though, LOL at the notion that Jason Terry was better than Ray Allen.
Combined with VC and Beaubois, the greatest guard combo ever? Throw in Shawn Marion, the greatest guard and wing combo ever?
I will admit that I was wrong. I thought they would have Nash on a ton of P&R's and that would nullify Kobe. They actually have Gasol making decisions at the top of the key and Nash playing off the ball. Mike Brown is a wonderful coach.
If the Lakers struggled with Dallas' uptempo play (lol) then omg they're gonna be in trouble. As for the Celtics and Heat, same MO. C's start out with hot shooting, turn the ball over a bunch, wilt in the second half. Rondo and KG get frustrated and start being little *****es. We've seen this before.
In Boston's defense they've got that **** down IE being a ***** after its clear they aren't going to win.
If Boston would've beaten Miami, it would be just one game. LA loses and your all right about them .. You guys are a special group. Lol
True. When you are a defending champion, you have afforded yourself that luxury. Has nothing to do with them losing. Has everything with them running an offense that is a disaster schematically. Being fans of a championship team is a very special thing.
I would've been upset if Miami lost last night. That game had a playoff type atmosphere. Both teams wanted to win BAD. Miami was/is better, hence the outcome (without LeBron most of the 4th quarter). LA just looks so old and slow.
FinO, if it makes you feel any better, LeBron was nowhere to be seen in that 4th quarter. So you know, there's that.
To be fair I think Fin-O is right. The Lakers one game isn't enough to say "I told you so" and I think we should give it time. That said I don't like the make up of their roster. However they aren't a bad team and will win some games this year. I maintain they don't leave the West though.
For those of you defending LA, the Mavs starting five last night was: Elton Brand Brandon Wright Shawn Marion OJ Mayo Darren Collison and Eddie Curry played 17 minutes off the bench . . .
No it's not enough to say "I told you so", but it's a good indicator that we'll end up being right considering the Lakers displayed literally all of the weaknesses we thought they would.
