    Daryl Gardener.

First of all, he had a wrinkly head. Very wrinkly. It was unsettling. Every time he took off his helmet, it looked like his brain was on the outside.

Secondly and most importantly, he was that player that is very, very, very good but very, very, very moody and injury prone so you get stuck with him hoping its a day he feels like being dominate or healthy. Those players, IMO, hurt their team more than their inconsistent explosive play helps. (I don't think Philbin would have put up with him.)

Plus he's a body builder now, which is just as creepy as the wrinkled head thing.

just think if he had that body back then. All he would have had to do is stand at the line and flex. The meer site of him like that would scare the opposing team away and the Phins to victory

    Ewww.

I don't think football players would fear a bodybuilder. I think they'd laugh at him. They aren't that strong and they can't move. I bet you the average OL or DL player is stronger than most body builders out there. Watch a strongman competition, those guys look a helluva lot more like Incognito than Mr. Universe.

Come on man....He is a Klingon. You can't hate the first Klingon to play in the NFL.

I remember reading the Dolphins newsgroup when he was cut and there was an exchange that I saved to my computer:

    >I was just watching the news and the sports guy said the Dolphins are
    > >seriously
    > >thinking of cutting Gardner due to his lingering back problems. He also
    said
    > >they'd take a "signifcant" cap hit by doing this.
    > >
    > >Guess those back problems arent all better.
    > >Anybody have any further info on this?
    > >
    > >-FJ
    >
    > Significant isn't the word. We would get blasted next year with the hit we
    > would take. He's got to be on the roster.

I am curious what his "personal issues" are?

Perhaps he has a yearning to return to the Klingon homeworld and restore his
    family's honor??

There are a lot of stinkers mentioned. How about the old codgers Bill Parcells and Dan Henning .

Ray Lucas As a player. He played well for the Jets and the coaching staff really thought they had a starting QB in him. That was not a bad Dolphin team he misled. He should have gone into the Jets ring of honor for all the damage he did to us.

Can't believe nobody mentioned #38, Calvin Jackson. For me he was my all time LEAST favorite because he played so much and was 99.9% of the time costing us dearly. The failed draft picks (Eddie Blake, Jamar Fletcher, John Avery, Yatil Green) don't qualify because they barely played. My rationale has to do with how many times they ****ed up and Calvin Jackson was the worst.

True, but don't forget, it's hard to cover receivers when you have absolutely no pass rush!

How 'bout this one .... Chad Henne!!

Yes, Chad Henne! The jerk who teased us that he was actually going to be the QB we were looking for after all these years, the guy who had a fairly good 2009 with some memorable performances against the Jets, Pats and Titans (even though we lost that one). He made me think we were all set, and I even bought his jersey. Then, he basically crapped the bed in 2010, getting worse and worse and worse and then I fly all the way down to Miami to watch him against the Browns and he - with no pass rush - underthrows a WIIIIDDDDDEEEE Open Brian Hartline (who had about 7 yards on Joe Haden) so badly that the ball gets picked off. That moment did it for me when i saw it w/ my own two eyes. Pathetic.

I was betrayed. Rot in Hell Henne, Rot in Hell!!!!

Another honorable mention is Joey Harrington for many reasons, including the Zero-point-Zero-Zero QB rating I witnessed in Buffalo.

I will go back to the guy I started the thread about..Travis Daniels...he would give up 10 completions in a row..then the QB would overthhrow a wide open Wr..and he would do that idiotic incomplete sign..would make me crazy...more recently I despised watching Channing Crowder..never saw a guy jump the wrong hole and be in the wrong spot more than him and do more talking! Before this season..Sean Smith was neck and neck with Travis Daniels and Crowder..a lot of talk and jumping around than plays made

2012: Jake Long -- His new haircut makes him look like a soccer mom. Our best player shouldn't look like a soccer mom.
2011: Daniel Thomas -- Covered by the success of Reggie Bush last year, Thomas just sucked.
    2010: Chad Henne
    [IMG]
    2009: Chad Henne
2008: Tony Sparano/Anthony Fasano -- In retrospect, Sparano set us back years by implementing the wildcat, with the fallback being a one-dimensional diet cream soda offense... Fasano, on the other hand, fooled us all and by pretending to be a legitimate endzone threat for a year.

Joey Porter- His attitude and refusal to come out of games, especially when he wasn't playing well, sucked.
Cam Cameron- Just way in over his head.
Emanuel Wright- He just got too much pub, for doing nothing and crying when Saban yelled at him.

I have tried for over two decades to banish the images of that atrocious tandem trailing receivers into the end zone in interminable procession. I had almost succeeded. And now, you have most suitably for this conversation, brought them into my mind's eye. Oh, the Pain! Oh, the pain! They couldn't cover a snail with a washtub.

Great call. I was getting ready to say Henning. Probably no one I can recall wanting to throw a brick off a building while the other end was tied to his nuts more than Dan Henning.

    Well away from here
See, this is just misplaced aggression, and I think you need some serious help.

Look, the reality is you should throw Henning off the roof with the brick tied to his nuts still on the roof. Make sure you secured the brick to the roof before throwing Henning off the roof just to be sure.

The brick has done nothing to you, throwing it off the roof is pointless. Throw Henning off, he's the one who really pissed you off.

Chris Chambers...I will always hate this guy. Such talent. Such inconsistency. He'd make the most amazing catch and then drop the easiest pass over the middle, fall to the ground and ask for a flag. I hated him because of how he failed to live up to his potential.

Ricky Williams - screw you Ricky forever for quitting on my team. Yes, I understand why you did it, Wanny this and Wanny that, but damn, you bailed on us BIG TIME!

I knew Yatil Green and Bosa would come up eventually but I don't think they belong.

    Both had stellar talent.
They both just had unfortunate injuries they were never able to overcome.
Bosa was going to be a beast.
Anyone that saw Bosa play his rookie year prior to being injured could verify that.

Yatil isn't one of my favorites b/c I was highly disappointed it was KC who traded up to 13 [from 18] for Tony Gonzalez rather than us despite the 75 draft picks we had that year.
