blaming the refs is just dumb right now considering we could cover anyone all day

If he was not a liability in coverage than we would resigned him and probably extended him. Right? Stop making stuff up. If he was great in coverage and great at playing the ball, you think they get rid of him, because of his work ethic? Yeah right.

Even with all thd botched 3rd downs, SS makes that play, one which was gift wrapped for him, and Miami has thd ball at the 30 with 2 minutes left. How do you not hold onto that? Plays like this distance the great/good teams from the average. Gotta make those plays. Frustrated

Using your logic, we would have zero corners playing next week.

All I want is to win. Yeah, I'm pissed if we lose. I love this team too.

Yeah, I've been raining feces and hopelessness because I don't want to get myself excited in case the team doesn't finish and pull out the win.

I hate to be that guy and I know we still had a chance to win but those were some bullsh!t calls by the refs.

Actually less true words haven't been written. That's not why we got rid of Vontae at all.

Vontae Davis wasn't going to be a free agent after this season.

Our defense was bad but they only allowed 23 points. Sometimes in the NFL you are going to give up 23 points, it isn't uncommon or horrible by any stretch. The thing is that if you told me we would have 17 points at half and allow 23 for the entire game I would chalk that up as a win. The offense really didn't help them out any.

3 more losses are fairly certain. I guess 9-7 could get us in if we win the rest of our games.

Yes, he is. He made some great plays today, and is going to be a great QB. But we should be embarrassed by that defensive performance.

Our defense was historically bad. That's the issue more than simply losing this game. No defense in history had ever had such a futile effort against a rookie QB. 3rd and 18? No problem, Luck had them right where he wanted them. They had better dedicate this offseason to finding players who can cover someone. That second Luck TD was probably the low point. Competent DBs would have picked that off or at a minimum knocked it down.

This isn't opinion. This was fact.

He was a liability in the locker room. Philbin didn't like his work ethic. They said they weren't going to resign him next year.

This is not the PoFo so its ok for you to tell the truth. Just stop. Its stupid.

When you jerk your head up, it's a false start. Supposed to move smoothly. It's supposed to stop the old trick of the center jerking their head up, lineman jumps and the C then snaps the ball.

To be devil's advocate, the opposite can also be said. A lack of pass rush today made our DBs look worse.

You realize he's always had bad hands right? This isn't new! His one handed int in the endzone in the preseason game his rookie year vs the saints, only time he's showed great hands. He's basically dropped everything else his way. Regardless, you can't drop that last int. game was on the line. Not to mention his other opportunities thoughout the whole game.

I wouldn't say that. I think we can take NE at home.

Yea, 9-7 can get us in the playoffs, IMO. 6th WC spot.

Yeah SS went for the tackle in the endzone instead of playing the ball. I have to believe that was just a lapse in judgement.

Next season we will make dents and go playoffs. Im not clinging to playoff hopes this season. If wé make them we wont get far. Lets go into the playoffs with à more solid team and a yr under Tannys belt. Seriously.

Im going to go bbq some dead meat, and drink a beer to relax. Even though we lost, keep in mind our much our offense kept fighting to keep us in this thing. That's encouraging at least. Everyone try and have a good night!

Dude, quit. You're arguing against reality. If Vontae was not a liability on the field, that would make him a star Cornerback, with his excellent ball skills. We don't trade him before the season starts, we try to change him. Stop defending your boy. POFO has nothing to do with it.

We got rid of Vontae because he was not a great cornerback. The work ethic was the final straw. Ireland's been the GM for how many years? You think he just discovered Vontae's work ethic?

You're being silly. Or delusional. If Vontae was great in coverage, we don't trade him for #3 draft picks.

You can say that, but Miami's got a talent deficiency in the secondary. I think that was plain to see today. For example, and I know I may get flamed for this, but everyone loves Jimmy Wilson. He's a guy who should NOT be your 3rd CB. He should be your 5th CB, and I think his play this season has shown that. Other than his sack of Sanchez last week, what's he done? Be honest. Sean Smith, for a former receiver, showed a complete lack of awareness and ball skills today as well. This team needs a healthy Richard Marshall in the worst way.

Kevin Coyle also blitzed WAY too often. Luck, like Tannehill, can recognize that and pick you apart. A lot of that is on Coyle's scheme. He had his worst game as a defensive play-caller today.

I don't think there's a chance to get into the playoffs at 8-8 this year, no matter how bad the AFC is.

Hey Devil, thats what I said and the opposite cannot be said for this team. This secondary really needs a lot of pressure from the pass rush. This secondary will, more than likely, never make the pass rush look better ...

he's been doing it all year, yet TODAY is when they decide to crack down on it. And did you see Philbin after the game? I've never seen him so pissed off at the refs. His post game presser should be interesting.

That is incorrect, he was NOT going to be a free agent until after 2013.

Ahhh, so instead of simply remaining neutral you've decided the only alternative to being excited about the team is to **it all over like one of our rivals would? Yeah that makes sense.
