Losses are frustrating but there's a line and he clearly took a flying leap over it.

    The blitzes were obvious, too.

Top priority needs to be pass rush... not just one player opposite Wake either... need some better stuff out of the inside players. Odrick is really looking like a bust of a pick which is extremely disappointing.

    It thought that too.....before today.
Tom Brady will chew up and spit out this secondary.

I was keeping a pessimistic attitude. And will continue to do so until this team proves it can close a game or two.

Did you miss the part where he said after this year or next? That offseason is....wait for it.....after next season.

that's still no excuse to sit our best cornerback who has had great games against a few of the best receivers in the NFL this year. That's pure silliness with all due respect.

It's one game. Not fair to judge them based on this game alone. We have to wait and see.

You know that I know this. Just as I know that you know that there are DBs with above-average hands, and others with bricks as hands. Im not accepting DB's like this. Chicago's D would lose their mind!

well, the decision to rush three when you have them backed up at the 6 yards line on third and long is criminal. I don't care that the blitz wasn't getting there consistently enough. Not on that one play. Send the freaking house... our defense was on the field 2/3's of the game... you have a chance to get them off the field early in that drive and keep field position. You have to take it.

I agree! The pass rush has been good but I want someone who can rush the passer with skilz and muscle. Wake needs help and I also think Odrick can further develop but I kind of like him as a back up DT/DE if he can't

Our defense was historically bad? I can name a LOT of games where teams have scored more than 23 points. Yardage is irrelevant. We had 17 points at halftime and only allowed 23 for the game. The offense did them absolutely no favors.

Fine. My bad. The year wasn't the point and is irrelevant. They weren't going to resign him and said so.

Up until today we we're getting by against really bad passing offenses. Today showed what even a semi-competent passing attack will do this secondary.

Yardage is not irrelevant. It leads to first downs and your offense sitting on the bench. Historically bad. No rookie QB in history had ever been able to throw that much against any other defense.

Ok but do you really think you can get a bunch of Db's who can both cover and catch on the same team? I think that is going to be hard as hell to do nowadays....

Your 100% correct. I wouldn't sit him, that was frustration. But I'd work with him on correcting his mistakes. Gotta work on those hands! Even he would say that is unexceptable. :(

I really thought Odrick was a high motor guy in the JJ Watt mold, he's proving to be Philip Merling / Matt Roth

It's not your bad. You said this season OR NEXT. After next season he is a FA. He is using the literal word "year" but that doesn't work because any NFL season last two "years"

This is the 12-13 season. Next is the 13-14 season. After next season he is a FA as you said.

Not true. We shut down Cincinnati. Andy Dalton had a 100+ QB Rating heading into the game.

You can say the same about every top pass defense, btw. They've all played bad passing attacks.

PFF had a blurb on him the other day where they basically said that no one performing as badly was getting as many snaps as Odrick is, and sure enough he had some moments today where he could have made some plays but came up short.

Yardage means absolutely nothing. I'm sorry. The only thing that matters is the number of points you allow during a game. We allowed 23 points. That is not bad in a historic sense.

Look at the number of attempts he had. It helps explain the yardage.

I'm fairly convinced Vernon and Shelby will split his minutes at DE towards the end of the year. Odrick is fine as the third DT.

after the way Tannehill finished this game, with those poor throws, he is going to be one dedicated machine this week.

In the history of this season, Miami had a historically bad day on 3rd downs.

Ok. As a corps no. But I'd hope that our supposed #1 cb wouldn't be the worst culprit. What does that say for the rest? We saw today unfortunately.
