A lot of blame has to be put on the pass defense, but I don't think I've seen a string if yardage losing bad calls like that before. You reverse either the Sean smith non Int, the bad marlon Moore hold, or the phantom false start call and momentum shifts
We lost TOP 35 to 25, they dropped a wide open TD and we made Luck look like Peyton. We got our asses whooped, with or without the calls.
we lost by three points... and two questionable calls occurred on that final drive. (Moore and Pouncey)... didn't see the Long holding, but it didn't matter as it wasn't accepted.
We lost because we gave ANdrew Luck all friggin day to pass the ball and he picked us apart. The calls had nothing to do with us losing. Bottom Line: Indianapolis is a very good team at home this year because Luck's play is phenomenol at home too.
Luck made us look bad, not the other way around... I would of released Peyton as well knowing what I would have in Luck... Imo, I'm on the record as best prospect ever, his rookie season is reflecting that...he's so much better than any Qb has ever been as a rookie thus far..am I off on that?, the dudes a freak.
True, we pooped the bed in a lot if areas today. But I would rather lose a great game by clear good performance by the other team. Having refs determine the game leaves a bad taste.
This. When we get the ball late they decide to call holding (never mind the special teams hold) when Wake was basically dragging their Tackles all day.
All I have to say about Luck is… aaahhhhhh…. he did what he was suppose to… Just about any QB in the NFL not name Sanchez can hit wide open WR's when he has 5-8 seconds to find them
with regards to the refs… it is not the calls they made but when they made them…. or chose not to…. Not calling it when Wake was being tackled on the Wayne TD but then calling a hold on Long on the Phins last O play is just asinine… still not blaming the refs though.. our defense lost that game by not getting off the field on 3rd down.
you can disagree, but you're wrong. We didn't pressure Luck and his recieivers were open on almost every play. Our third down defense was atrocious.
We got some pressure late in this game. Andrew Luck went off on a terrible secondary. We couldn't get off the field. Bad calls happen to us every game...we lost because our secondary is piss poor.
I'd like to see a replay of that Misi phantom PI call again. I mean to get called PI you actually have to make CONTACT right?
None of those calls upset me except for the so called illegal block in the back on the ST when the game was on the line. One of the worst calls I've seen all year (including the replacements) That cost us at least 30 yards....
That was a terrible call. I realize Misi had his back turned to the passer and that gets called 99.9% of the time, but there was no contact to make interference. I thought it was a heads up play putting his hands up to defend, but the zebras thought otherwise.
I'm sorry but he clearly dropped the ball. The refs aren't the reason we lost, our defense lost the game collectively. Our pass rush, terrible coverage, and missed tackles were pathetic.
It was a combination. Luck made some great plays, no doubt. But there's no way, against any QB, that we should have allowed nearly the number of long yardage conversions that we did. That's just inexcusable.
while true, are players need to play better particularly on third down, to say the refs had nothing to do with us losing the game is just plain incorrect, they contributed... now, to what degree, well there lies the crux of the issue.
Even so it is irrelevant. Dolphins coaches cannot correct the refs performance. They CAN correct the team's execution. Focus on the things you CAN control. Better results that way.
