Saw this and wasn't sure whether to put it in the POFO or here. Just a really sad story.

I hope those two get the death penalty if convicted. To think that someone would do such a thing not just do a military man makes my blood boil.

Send them to iraq, put em on the front line......and if they make it......off with them, right then and there......let some seals do it, slow.

Turn them over to the guys in his unit, they'll know exactly how to treat them!! It would take many, many long days and nights of excruciating agony before I would "bless" them with death!

WTH, why? No reason at all?

Some people are sick and don't deserve to be walking on the same streets as others.

Really sad to hear for the family of the victim.

    RIP

Death penalty is too good for these 2, now a nice really slow torture out in the desert, which by time they get done with them, these too will be begging to die.

Was he in uniform (at least clothing that would let them know he was a marine)?

These are the types of cases that cause me to wonder in absolute amazement at anyone supporting banning the Death Penalty.

There are people on this earth that simply don't deserve to be.

I realize its an entirely different issue altogether, but the reason people dont like the death penalty is because it fails to work as a deterrent. Studies have repeatedly shown this.

These D-bags will get whatever's comin to em', but all killing them will do is make certain people feel better, it wont bring this man back. No murder victim has ever been resurrected after the execution of his killer...

Call DHS and tell them they spent time in Pakistan wearing a turbon.

Gitmo sounds like the perfect place for their ilk.

Nothing is going to deter some of these animals.
That argument is irrelevant in my eyes.

It boils down to the simple belief of an eye for an eye and the belief that some people don't deserve to have a life if they've shown the inability to act human.

It also guarantees that this subhuman organism will not ever kill an innocent victim ever again. In that regard it is as sure fire a deterrent as there is.

who cares about deterrent though? i mean that would be ideal, but first and foremost we need to get these turds off the street. execute the bishes.

i like the other idea though - ship them to iraq and torture the a-holes

Dont get me wrong, Im not gonna shed a tear as they throw the switch. I just think after thousands of years it would be nice to have a better philosophy than "If you kill us we'll kill you back."

We def need to get them off the street no doubt. We could start by releasing all the minor drug offenders to make room. :wink2:

noble belief, but a little too idealistic and/or naiive i think. some people just can't be deterred or rehabilitated. remember, prison is also supposed to rehabilitate people. but when a large portion of the criminal element are chemically imbalanced and permanently ****ed up, prison won't help them "get better"

but i get what you're saying. it might work in an Amish township, or in Nepal.

The reason for that is simple, they know they will sit in a cell for the next 10-20-30-40 years before they are ever executed.in the mean time, they get 3 meals a day, dental care, health care books, magazines,t.v,music and so on.its a cake walk for these guys.thats the failure of the system.I guarantee you if it were hard enough.these people would NOT wanna go there.

Damn straight! Bury 'em up to their neck and give 'em some camel spiders to keep 'em company...

I have no sympathy for these two (or anyone else that would kill another under like circumstances, military or not). They have forfeited their rights as human beings IMO, and deserve to be treated in accordance.
Call me 'barbaric' or any other moniker you see fit; commit a crime such as this, and you relinquish all status of humanity and citizenship that you ever had. You are no longer human, and below animal, as they act on instinct. Your action went beyond any reason, comprehensible motive or base instinct of any animal. You are worth less than the seed your father sowed to create you. Blight upon all humanity, I curse you. Hell cannot welcome you swiftly enough.

I dont think believing the death penalty is outdated is naiive, but its def idealistic. You're right though prison is funny like that, it turns non-violent criminals INTO violent criminals. Ive never bought into the rehabilitation in prison either to be honest. Take Florida for example, we have no mental health facilities in parts of the state. So local jails and stockades are FILLED with mentally ill criminals.

Since I was a youth Ive always felt this country has yet to adjust to the expanding population when it comes to our jails/prisons.

Its a catch 22. Do we ammend our laws, or build more prisons?

I wouldnt say its a cake walk for these guys (see Lockup on MSNBC).

The problem is these guys dont know how prison is going to be before they get there. Sure they think they're 'Billy Badass' and are ready for anything, but once enclosed in those concrete walls they change their tune.

Besides, you are assuming that people as mentally ****ed as the dudes that commit these crimes have the foresight to consider the consequences of their actions. I dont believe they do.

I never understood this thought. Prison is a pretty horrible place IMO. Prison gangs, riots, etc, make it so.

Just because they may not realize the consequences of their actions, doesnt mean the person that was innocently killed should have died without fair punishment to the criminals who did it......they need to die as well.....saying killing them for killing someone doesnt solve anything, either does keeping them alive....i watch "locked up" on msnbc and all those assclowns are sorry......after they are on death row, after they lose everything, and after the fact that they killed someone.....KILLED SOMEONE....everyones always sorry after they are in trouble, those guys dont deserve my sympathy, so i dont give it....they should die as well imo
