The rumored matches for WM29 as of right now are:

The Rock vs. John Cena for the WWE title
Dolph Ziggler vs. Randy Orton for the WHC
    Brock Lesnar vs. Triple H

Word is The Undertaker might not wrestle this year as there isn't anyone the WWE feels is worth him coming back for since Brock is schedule to wrestle Triple H (with Triple H getting his win back, because it's not enough he actually owns the company but he needs to avenge his loss).

If these are indeed the "headlining" matches color me unimpressed. I don't care about seeing Rock/Cena 2 or Lesnar/Triple H 2. Give me newer, exciting match ups.

so Survivor Series got even more random. Team Ziggler vs Team Foley. That feels so random since the whole point of the match was to have team Foley vs CM Punk. Hell Foley is not even in the match. Its Team Face vs Team Heel

So the WWE encyclopedic will come out tomorrow with EVERY WWE Superstar, EVERY WWE PPV, EVERY WWE title winner... I don't want to buy it but I do want to see how they work around Chris Benoit. Especially with his WM 20 win. Are they just going to forget every match he was in ever existed? should be interesting

Man RAW was an absolute mess last night. Remember the whole reason why it was Team Punk vs. Team Foley? How Foley was mad at Punk and this was his way to get back at him? And now it's completely forgotten. Why not just announce the Triple Threat match last week instead? Oh right they have zero long term plans and are just booking on the fly.

Honestly, bro, that Survivor Series match had immense potential to be a great match. Every man involved, sans Sandow, can and has put on a great match, and Sandow is has potential. It could have easily added fire the CM Punk/Ryback feud, especially if the latter is the Sole Survivor via beating punk, or if the former is via pulling a screwy finish.

Plus, it gives some of the midcarders some ME exposure.

Honestly, it's funny to me. We've been through stretches where the World Titles have been defended and contested on the undercard, yet they can't go one PPV without it being defended. SMH.

And to add to that, MY GOODNESS, they couldn't let Cena get out the World Title spotlight for a bit? I'm pretty sure it's not Cena's fault, but I wonder how he feels about it?

The WWE apparently switched the match around because of the luke warm reaction to the match after it was announced. It blows my mind how they're so willing to change a main event of a PPV that they announced a week ago yet refuse to listen to the fans when they cheer for certain guys.

The problem is RAW's ratings since it changed to 3 hours and especially since MNF started have tanked so the WWE is obviously panicking and thinking "hey it's because Cena has been out with an injury and not around enough". The WWE thinks Cena is the answer to everything.

I might be wrong about this but who is going to help Maddox win his match against Ryback. Is punk going to attack Maddox and have Ryback dq'd so Maddox get's his contract. Also now that Linda is done running for political office and won't run again in 2014 maybe we can take it back up a notch and acqually have blood in a cage match again.

The lack of blood or the WWE being PG isn't the problem or issue, it's the creative progess and writing. You can have all the blood and extreme matches as you want but if the storylines suck the product is going to suck.

And believe it or not, the main reason why the WWE is PG has more to do with their marketing, toy line and sponsorship than it does with Linda running for office.

The only reason I brought up the blood thing is I read an article last week saying they shouldn't do HIAC Matches if they can't do blood because if your going to use the cell as a weapon someone should bleed. I think the PG thing is both marketing and trying to get her elected. her opponent kept using the katie vick storyline against her anyhow and it worked. spent almost 100 million trying to get in office and couldn't even get a sniff. Lol

Eh you can have great HIAC matches without blood in my opinion.

And hey when people bring up the whole PG thing it doesn't mean that the WWE will magically be good again, case in point Katie Vick or Mae Young giving birth to a hand. And people forget that there was plenty of crap going on during the "Attitude Era" but there was not only extremely superstar great talent on the roster at that time but for the most part the writing and storylines were very good to great. Right now there's neither that great of talent or good writing/storylines.

I think it's almost a lock he retains the title, especially with both Ryback and Cena looking strong on Monday. I think the obvious outcome is Ryback hitting the shellshock on Cena and either Heyman or Maddox coming out to distract Ryback allowing Punk to "steal" the win. It would make almost no sense to put the title on anyone else at this time, especially with Rock/Punk exchanging tweets back and forth and Punk's heel turn happened because of The Rock.

  22. Samphin

Samphin Κακό σκυλί ψόφο δεν έχει

I also wonder if this whole Cena-AJ stuff comes to a head at the PPV as well. Essentially allowing Cena to be written completely out of the championship storyline for awhile and giving Punk the duke over both Cena and Ryback again and claiming that no one on the roster if a beat him. Cue Rock's music and voila.

I should point out that I also enjoyed the courting of Kane by Miz and Bryan. It would be funny to see a dysfunctional Freebirds situation develop where you never know which two will be defending the titles while the third pouts on the outside. I could get on board with that.

  23. Samphin

Samphin Κακό σκυλί ψόφο δεν έχει

And Dean Ambrose is here! Honestly, I would have liked for him to debut individually but being involved in a main event on a big four PPV alongside Seth Rollins isn't a bad debut at all.

In fact, I think their debut saved an otherwise boring PPV. Raw should be fun tomorrow. Punk retained, Ziggler was the sole survivor and Ambrose, Rollins and Reigns debuted. The fallout will be interesting.

I'm starting to wonder if the WWE will put Punk over The Rock at the Rumble and then run a Punk vs. Undertaker title vs. streak match at WM29. I guess it all depends on Rock's movie schedule. That way the WM matches would be Punk vs. Taker, Rock vs. Cena, Triple H vs. Brock. Yeah the only thrilling match would be Punk/Taker so hopefully they would run maybe Rock/Brock if they wanted that Punk/Taker match up.

  25. Samphin

Samphin Κακό σκυλί ψόφο δεν έχει

Lots of talk from Austin about returning and who he would work with. If nothing else, he is thinking about it. If that were true, I would have to think that Punk-Austin would make a lot of sense for WM.

I imagine we are headed for a Ziggler-Orton Wrestlemania match for the title, so it will be interesting how they work backwards to get there. I almost think that it would make sense for Ziggler as Ortonto start their feud now, with Ziggler winning over Orton at the December PPV and winning the Rumble while Orton wins the title outright from Show. Ziggler could threaten to cash in the briefcase a few times but never commit.

At Wrestlemania, have Ziggler use his Royal Rumble chance and lose to Orton cleanly. He spazzes out and beats the crap out of Orton with the briefcase before cashing it in (after a year) and pinning Orton's carcass to walk out of Mania with the title.

Not sure where or what you do with Sheamus. Perhaps an extended program with Wade Barrett. A falls count anywhere Wrestlemania match could be fun. I will work on putting together my Wrestlemania card this week.

The plan is for Orton to turn heel soon so perhaps they want to turn Ziggler face as I can't see them running a heel vs. heel match at WM. Although I'd much rather see a Daniel Bryan vs. Ziggler WHC match at WM. So here's rooting for another failed PED test for Orton.

As far as Sheamus goes, put me in the "who cares what they do with him" camp. Still not a fan of his. Beside him being Triple H's good friend I don't really see why the WWE likes him so much.

  27. Samphin

Samphin Κακό σκυλί ψόφο δεν έχει

Orton works better as a heel, so I have no problem with him changing back if need be. I think I like him best as a tweener since he exudes *******isness. And most *******s think they are better than everyone and thus, don't have too many friends. Orton can play that role well enough.i don't mind him as a face either though since their aren't many top of the card faces right now.

And I have no problem with Sheamus. He is good for business, especially internationally. He is used in a ton of marketing, sells merchandise and is believable in the ring. He doesn't blow my socks off, but he is good in the ring and plays well with others, so I would assume that he is going to be around for awhile. It would be good to get him away from the title for a little bit though, while still maintaining a top spot.

I don't think Bryan will be anywhere near the world title picture come WM. Which is fine actually since he has become Teflon, much like Punk.

So I got bored and decided to take a stab at booking Wrestlemania 29. Keep in mind that this is not what I think they will do, but just what I thought would be cool to see. I will post the match and a brief write up on how I got to this end game. I am working on the basis of a four hour PPV with time for the HOF ceremony, video packages and extended entrances. I will start from the bottom part of the card and work my way up.

There are a couple of themes you will see on this Wrestlemania. Surprises and Heyman Guys. I will explain as I go.

Match #1 Tag Team Gauntlet Match: Sandow/Rhodes (c) vs. Usos. Winner vs. PTP. Winner vs. Gabriel/Kidd. Winner vs. Colons. Winner vs. Misterio/Cara. Winner vs Evan Bourne/??? (Big Show)

The genesis of this match is that Kane/Bryan lose their tag team titles at the December PPV do to Heyman's guys interfering, allowing Sandow/Rhodes to notch their first championship together. While Team Hell No went their separate ways, the tag division is thrown into uncertainty and turnover as Rhodes Scholars drops and regains the tag titles with a few of the teams above. The story is that since Team Hell No lost, that no team has been able to step up and dominate the division. Throughout the build to Wrestlemania, multiple pull apart brawls are had amongst teams at Raw, Smackdown and PPV's that ultimately lead to this Gauntlet Match. The winner of the first initial tag match, ones on to face the next team and so on and so on until the the last team is pinned and a champion is crowned.

I would have Sandow/Rhodes somehow survive each round of the Gauntlet, each time by a slimmer margin, until the last round where Evan Bourne (who made his surprise return at Royal Rumble and has been touting that he never lost the tag title to begin with) comes out. Rhodes Scholars, having just beaten five teams consecutively, is feeling pretty confident until Bourne reveals that his partner is none other than a returning Big Show who hasn't been see since he lost his title at Elimination Chamber, a month earlier. Rhodes Scholars tries I attack, but get a double choke slam for their efforts, followed by Bourne landing a perfect Shooting Star Press to secure the duke and the titles.

Falls Count Anywhere Match: Sheamus vs. Wade Barrett

After failing to beat The Big Show to regain his World Title, Sheamus enters the Royal Rumble with hopes of winning for he second straight year and re-capturing the gold at Wrestlemania. Barrett, enters the Rumble himself in hopes of leapfrogging everyone and taking a Main Event spot at Wrestlemania. Sheamus enters at #15, Barrett at # 16. The ring is filled to the brim ith talent that soon goes flying out as Sheamus and Barrett try to one up each other with each elimination, eventually leading to only the two of them in the ring, eye to eye.

They brawl until both are tangled with one another and somehow manage to dump each other out of the ring and eliminate each other from the Rumble. They continue their brawl to the back as refs try to pull them apart. Sneak attacks and brawls continue until the Elimination Chamber where both ar involved in the World Heavyweight Chamber, along with Big Show, Randy Orton, The Miz and Dolph Ziggler. Sheamus eliminates Barrett, who in turn, loads up his elbow and knocks Sheamus out cold before revealing a steel plate under his elbow pad as be leaves the Chamber. Sheamus is quickly pinned and eliminated as well.

The match is made for Wrestlemania to have it as a Falls Count Anywhere Match. The brawl is a wild one that utilizes the stadium where ultimately Sheamus goes to Brogue Kick Barrett, missing and putting his foot through a wall, where he is stuck. Barrett takes the opportunity to smash Sheamus over and over with a chair before ultimately setting up the chair and cracking it with his elbow, jarring Sheamus loose and unconscious for Barrett to get the victory.

U.S. AND IC Title Match (first fall wins U.S., second wins I.C.) Antonio Cesaro (c) vs. Kofi Kingston (c) vs. Jack Swagger vs. Christian

Christian makes his surprise return at the Royal Rumble and after a good showing, establishes himself as a contender for both the U.S. and IC titles. He comes close on winning both titles before falling short on both. Jack Swagger becomes perturbed over Cesaro's U.S. title reign and his claims that no American can beat him. Meanwhile, Kofi Kingston's challenges to Cesaro to unify the belts in a match go unanswered until this unique match is made for Wrestlemania.

The rules in this fatal 4-way are simple. The first fall wins you the U.S. title and the second fall is awarded the IC title. Cesaro manages to escape the first fall with retaining his title and decides that he is no longer needed in the match and leaves. The other three continue to wrestle and eventually all three are laid out after a hard series of events. Out of no where, Cesaro reappears and hits his finisher on Kofi and rolls him over for the pin, winning himself the IC title as well and unifying the U.S. with the IC title.

    More to come...

Six Man Tag Team Match: Dean Ambrose/Seth Rollins/Romero Reigns vs. The Miz/Kane/??? (HHH)

Heyman throughout the buildup to Wrestlemania, touts that this will be a night he will never forget since five of his charges will compete tonight, three of them in this match. The Heyman group continue to run roughshod on the WWE, attacking wrestlers in a pack mentality. They cost Kane and Bryan their Tag Titles at the December PPV, eliminate Miz at RR when he refuses their invitation to join them, claiming that he did their revolution without anyone prior.

Miz starts to exact his revenge in one on one matches, beating each member, but catching a beating afterwards. Eventually Kane comes to his rescue and a six man tag is booked for WM. at the event itself, only Kane and Miz show up, causing Heyman to gloat and laugh that there is no one there to help them, and that they have no other persons they can count on. Motörhead blasts through the arena and HHH makes his way to the ring, spitting water everywhere and scaring the baby Jesus out of Heyman's guys.

Heyman's guys lose after getting their asses kicked and Heyman retreats to the back, leaving his guys to get their beatings by the trio of former champs.

    Mark Henry vs. Ryback

Ryback continues to ask to be fed more, and continues to dominate. At the Rumble, Ryback is one of the final four competitors and proceeds to knock the crap out of the final three participants (Orton, Bryan, and Ziggler) before Mark Henry's music hits while he lumbers toward the ring, locking eyes with Ryback. Ryback is game to fight, but the distraction proves costly as Orton tosses Ryback over the top. Henry laughs and, leaves as Ryback is pissed.

Over the course of the next few weeks, Ryback destroys his opponent, only to watch Henry do the same to the same guy on Smackdown. Eventually both are in the Raw E.C. match where Ryback tries and fails to lift Henry into the Shellshock. Henry squishes Ryback after that and pins the monster (with Punk and others on his back to hold Ryback down, giving him the bragging rights of pinning Ryback clean). This leads to a grudge match at WM where Ryback exacts his revenge and finally shellshocks Henry for the win.

    The Rock vs. Brock Lesnar

The Rock makes his return at the Royal Rumble to challenge CM Punk for the WWE title. While on the verge of winning, Heyman knocks out the ref and is then caught by The Rock. A Rock Bottom is given and a People's Elbow is attempted when out of no where, Brock Lesnar appears beating The Rock down and dragging Punk on top of The Rock. Brad Maddox makes his way down, count the three count and Punk retains, propped up by Brock and Heyman with Brad Maddox standing closely by.

The Rock demands Brock over the next few weeks. Heyman declines on his clients behalf, stating that Brock has one goal in mind, and that is to end The Streak. John Cena confronts Brock one night on Raw on behalf of The Rock, calling Brock a coward, etc.

Brock looks ready to pounce when The Rock shows up, and attacks Brock. The match is made for Wrestlemania and Brock vs. Rock is set, provided that Rock agrees to Brock's terms. The terms range from being able to choose the referee (Maddox) to having the option to come out first. Rock agrees to all of it.

The match goes back and forth until Heyman attempts to interfere on Brock's behalf. He accidentally hits Maddox, knocking Maddox down before falling victim to a right hand from Rock, which sends Heyman reeling backwards, into Maddox and spilling both outside. Brock charges, gets caught with a Rock Bottom, and another ref flies down to make the three count.

Heyman is sneering and seething as he makes his way to the back as another one of is guys goes down.

    Final three coming up!

I like your idea for The Rock vs Brock Lesnar. What I would like to see with that, if it happens, is the callback to when The Rock lost The Undisputed Championship to Brock Lesnar. Maybe have a promo like he did before his WM match against Stone Cold Steve Austin, stating how Brock Lesnar's interference sparked something in The Rock. An emotion. A desire he hadn't felt since his third WM match against SCSA. How he remembers how he lost the UD Championship match against him, all that jazz.

World Heavyweight Title Match: Randy Orton vs. Dolph Ziggler

Orton gets on a roll in late 2012 and enters the Royal Rumble with sights set on winning (obviously). He makes it to the final three where he is eliminated by Dolph Ziggler on Dolph's way to winning the Royal Rumble. So now, Dolph has is MITB briefcase AND the Royal Rumble win. He starts bragging about how he will use his RR win on one champion and his briefcase on the other, and generally is annoying throughout the road to WM.

After Orton qualifies for the EC, Dolph gets annoyed and gets himself into the match as well, claiming he is more deserving than Orton. Orton ends up winning the title from Big Show in the match, last eliminating Dolph in the process. Dolph decides to use his RR win to face Orton at WM.

The match goes back and forth but Orton nails the RKO and beats Dolph. While celebrating on the ropes, he is attacked from behind with a briefcase that is being held by Ric Flair. Flair struts around the ring and woos like a maniac. He points to Ziggler and tells him that now is the time. Ziggler cashes in the briefcase, slaps on the figure four on a lifeless Orton and the ref can do nothing but count Orton out, giving Dolph the win, and the title.

    Undertaker vs. John Cena

While Brock was busy denying The Rock on Raw in an effort to net The Undertaker, John Cena was busy trying to convince Brock to fight Rocky. While confronting Brock in the ring on Raw, Rocky interrupts, fighting with Brock to the back, leaving Cena as a spectator, watching on. While watching from the ring, the lights go out, flicker, and come back on with UT standing behind Cena. Cena turns, eats a choke slam and a Tombstone.

Stunned, Cena wants no part of UT, knowing full well that UT doesn't lose at WM. taker continues to attack Cena each week without ever saying a word. Cena finally relents, saying that he knows he will lose, but he never backs down from a fight. The match is another classic and ultimately, Cena falls prey to the Undertaker-WM magic and loses. Taker waits for him to get to his feet and offers a handshake to Cena who accepts.

WWE TITLE MATCH: CM Punk vs Daniel Bryan

After losing his Tag Titles with Kane at the December PPV as a result of Heyman's guys attacking, Bryan seeks revenge, beating one of the guys in a one on one match at RR before entering the Rumble himself and making it to the final three before being eliminated. After failing to win the title in Raw's EC, in large part due to Heyman's interference, Bryan wins a small, four man tournament to be crowned the #1 contender to Punk's title which Punk has held for seemingly ever.

After the win, Pumk makes his way to the ring and the stare down of mutual respect is made. Heyman's guys go to attack and Punk calls them off. This sort of activity continues up to Wrestlemania with Punk saving Bryan from his own people. Punk's reasoning is that he respects Bryan and knows that he can beat him without resorting to any cheap tactics or anything else.

The match goes on, with Punk asking Heyman to go to the back. Heyman is concerned but follows his charges lead a d leaves ringside. After a while, Bryan gets the upper hand, Punk panics and calls for help. Heyman and his guys (including Brock) come down to ringside, only to be attacked from behind by Rock, HHH, Kane, Miz and Mr. McMahon. Heyman is decked by McMahon as Maddox hits the ring.

Mick Foley's music hits, wearing a refs shirt, he puts socko to Maddox, and becomes the new ref as Bryan attaches the No Lock to Punk who has no choice but to tap. And your NEW WWE Champ is Daniel Bryan.

Really, really like the way they're booking "The Shield" (even if the name is kind of eh). They are letting those 3 guys actually get over and get heat, while also putting heat on Ryback and Punk. They are treating them like a big deal and have them actually fighting off Ryback instead of running from him. Just good storytelling all around, unlike the rest of the crap that is RAW right now. Can we just hit the fast forward button on the Ziggler/Cena feud and have AJ turn on Cena and help Ziggler?

Ambrose actually remembers me a lot of Pillman, I know that comparison has been labeled on him for awhile now but just totally has that crazy loose canon vibe to him. I also thought Ambrose can off as a clear star in that sit down interview.

I actually think the WWE finally has a nice core of younger stars to really build the company around, whether or not they are successful all depends on how much give the WWE wants to give them.

Yeah the Cena/Ziggler match was probably the match of the night. Say what you want about Cena's old act but the guy has some crazy good chemstry in the ring with certain people. Of course it probably doesn't hurt that Ziggler bounces around the ring and sells the crap out of everything and makes his opponents look like a million bucks.

I think Batista is probably not a great example of that, as the WWE always wanted him to be a huge star, it's just that he got there quicker than Orton because he was Triple H's buddy and Triple H viewed Orton as a threat to his spot so the WWE kill off Orton's push at the knees. The plan was always to turn Batista and Orton into big time players hence why they put them in a stable with Triple H and Flair.

Off the top of my head though I can't think of a better example involving stables where the 3rd or the 4th member of the team (basically the forgotten guy or least important) became the bigger star. Can anyone help me up as I'm legit stumped here. The closest thing I can come up with is the Spirit Squad as Kenny was suppose to be the next big thing in the WWE and Nicky (aka Dolph Ziggler) ended up as the break out star but that was years later so even that might be a poor example.
