Thanks lucky. Our schools are closed till Nov 12th which is when they expect power to back the earliest, but now we got another big storm coming our way so lord knows what that will mean, I'm hoping we are back up by Thanksgiving.
It was like Christmas morning today, I'm driving to church (I have gas cans in my car) and see a line about 2 miles long of cars, than notice the walk up has one person on it. Parked, filled up my two 5 gallon cans, poured them into my van and went back and filled them up again. I'm giddy!
Already an inch of snow on ground and coming down hard, these people with no power got to be miserable! In our town we have Georgia Power working to restore power, one day here and they have done more for this town than our own electric company! Thank You Georgia!
Two bleepin weeks and still no power. LIPA is the worst electric company in the world country. Has to be. They want to force people to get an electrician for a block that had zero flooding at my parents place (since my town is still a disaster area). Sleeping in three blankets and a hoodie in a forty degree room is getting old quick. On another note i saw my own condominium for the first time today since this snitch Sandy rolled thru and in an area where many people i know had their houses smashed and valuables ruined my place is just about the way i left it minus a moldy fridge. I can live with that
Sorry to hear, Boiky. Hope you'll at least be able to watch the games tomorrow. Perhaps this cold weather & no electricity would be a good time to test the neighbor's fire insurance? You sound like you're typing on your phone BTW, possibly with half frozen/numb fingers. All I can picture is the Christmas Vacation scene where Clark is locked in the attic. lol
well i am typing on my phone which is a bit tedious but at least my phone gets nfl redzone so i can kinda watch the games.
