Jim Turner needs some blame. And the get rid of Jake talk has got to stop. You don't just stop being a elite player with hall of fame potential for no reason. I personally, do not want to return to the days of John St. Clair or Damian McIntosh. The line has been awful for the past month or so. Defenders get instant pressure, no coincidence we have seen the run game fall off so drastically and Tanny hardly ever gets a nice clean pocket. Mike Sherman's playcalling has also been suspect.

That's why I prefaced it with "dare I say it", but I think he could really do a lot better of a job with the core group of defensive personnel moving forward than what Kevin Coyle has displayed.

Playmakers or not, how many more 0 coverage blitzes does he have to see fail before he stops doing them? Leaving someone like Jimmy Wilson in a one-on-one matchup in the slot, that's just a recipe for failure. I get that there's a talent deficiency, and that's certainly not Coyle's department, but the league has figured this defense out.

Of course, 5 drafts is nowhere near enough. Just because stupid Atlanta has built a Super Bowl contender in the same time (with worse draft positions every year except one) should be just ignored. They just got lucky.

No, they are worse then not sucking, they are mediocre, which makes them harder to replace b/c the need to replace them is not as obvious.

Well... I did as a result of this teams miserable showing loose the bet that violates the TOS here. I mean... loosing the bet sucks cuz the phins lost, but really its a win-win either way.
