This was about as bad as a performance as I can remember in the last 10 years. I mean usually, when we lose, there are some positives that you can point to and say "well at least we got this guy and he played well." Today, nobody played well. Nobody. And we know we've got some above average talent on this team. Prior to last week's game, all of us were arguing over who deserved to go the pro bowl at the half way point. Now, I have a hard time saying one single player's name that deserves to go. Even Cameron Wake had a BAD game today.

I'm curious to know how we prepared for the short week this week. Did we do what Sparano usually did? Work on two games at once? But keep it very simple? Because it didn't seem like the team was ready today, and I'm wondering if the short week ahead had ANY affect on that at all?

Of course not. We just played the worst home game for the Dolphins since 1968. Maybe ever, since the 1968 blowout (48-3) was against the Chiefs, who were a very good team. The Titans, by contrast, suck.

So, is this team the worst team in the entire history of the Miami Dolphins? No, it isn't. But this was pretty disheartening.

I don't see Bush being a member of the 2013 Dolphins if Philbin is still the HC. His playing time has decreased each of the past few weeks and it just appears that Philbin and Sherman are trying to see what they have with Thomas and Miller going forward. Hopefully they see that Thomas is not the answer and they try to find another RB in the 2013 draft.

I agree, but at least that was on the road against a good team.

you are right but we have way too many dolphin fans that are settling for less when we all should demand the best. too many fin fans are in serious denial because good teams dont lose like this and win by the skin of the teeth .

who does miami have that scares anyone ?

it should not take 6 years of average to rebuild a team. we had only three losing seasons prior to 2004 but since then we 've had average and below average seasons .

i dont know why so many people like being average but I hate it and it makes me sick that Miami can not score over 21 points .

even the Wanny years we had better results despite the many who like to rip on him.

truth of the matter these guys like McMichael, Welker , Ronnie and Ricky Booker , chambers ,Larry chester , ferguson, Surtain , Madison and zach all of these guys re better then what we have on the roster right now.

Don't feel bad, there have been plenty of fans in the past couple of years that gave up their season tickets, won't buy merchandise and just won't support the organization until they right the ship. That's not on the fans, that's on people in that run the show.

Worse game as a team Miami has played all season. Even our ST which has been a strength some games stunk it up with penalties. Maybe the team was just flat from the close loss to the Colts and figured they just had to show up after the Bears trounced the Titans in Tennessee.

because of how the defense is punished for playing defense in the NFL these days, I'm now inclined to look at WR as a possibility even if we're in the top 10 in next year's draft. Definitely a WR over a CB (don't confuse CB with pass rusher)

Yep. Not going to argue with you. That was truly awful.

But for home losses...today is tough to top.

More or less, our worse game since the Texans, but crushingly another AFC loss, meaning our playoff hopes took a serious hit.

This is why this season is all about Ryan Tannehill growing as a Qb, some of the stuff Sherman is doing on offense is counter productive in that regard.

While I don't think we are as bad as the game today, we are certainly not as good as we thought we were. Man though did we catch the Colts and the Titans at the wrong time or what? Colts with their inspiring visit from Pagano and Titans after having their rears just ripped by their owner. Not saying that was the reason for the losses but man both teams came to play and we couldn't match them either time.

I was a season ticket holder for over 35 years and I finally gave up my tickets two years ago because of my displeasure with Sparano and Ireland. I didn't attend any games last season. Earlier this season I was offered the opportunity to sit in a suite for the Dolphins first home game. I enjoyed the game and I have been attending all the home games this season. Today, because of minor knee surgery earlier this week, I gave my tickets to my daughter and son-in-law. After watching this game, I almost feel happy that I had surgery, so I had a reason to not go to the game today and watch this disaster of a game.

I have tried to believe this team is headed in the right direction. Then we have a game like today and it makes you realize that this team still has a long way to go to become anything other than the mediocre team they have been for the last four years. This is just not a team with a lot of talented players. Ireland has done a terrible job of rebuilding this team and I blame him totally for the fact the Dolphins remain a below average team in the NFL.

Ross has a decision to make regarding Ireland. Keep him and watch attendance continue to decline and watch your team remain irrelevant in the NFL. The other option is to actually fire Ireland and hire someone who can turn this organization around. Ireland has been the teams GM for five years and this team hasn't gotten any better in the last four years. They are playing one of the easiest schedules in the NFL this year, yet they are below 500 after nine games.

The only reason I can see Ross keeping Ireland beyond this season is that he is totally inept as an NFL owner. If that is the case, he certainly can't expect me to purchase any more tickets to support his ineptitude as an owner.

We have been rebuilding since Ireland came here five years ago. I have no problem with starting another rebuilding process around Tannehill. I just don't want Ireland to be picking the players to build around Tannehill.
If anyone can screw it up. It is most certainly Ireland.

You are absolutely 100% correct in every statement you made above. Like you, I have no idea why so many fans are willing to settle for average or below average from the team they root for. Sometimes I think we have some Jet fans who pose as Dolphin fans and they try to convince us that mediocre is okay. Well it's not okay with me and it shouldn't be okay with any real Dolphin fan. Enough is enough and I am sick and tired of what I have seen from this team since Ireland became the GM and Ross became the teams owner. Something has got to change for the better and I'm not writing about changing in the future. I am writing about right now. GET RID OF IRELAND TODAY!

Not if you ask the guys on WQAM right now who are all over the Dolphin Fans for not being at today's game, intimating that today's performance was because the players didn't get any "juice" from the fans.

These are people that just don't get it.

I think what we saw today was a result of teams figuring out what Philbin & Co. are trying to do and have adjusted. There was 8 games of tape of our systems and the Titans built off what the Colts were able to do last week. Unless they can adjust to better cover up for many of our weaknesses ... we'll be watching more games like this the rest of the way

I gave up my season tickets last year. This team still has the same holes as four years ago. WR, CB, OL, FS, pass rush. Every time we take a step forward we take one back.

Where is this belief coming from that fans enjoy the team being average. I guarantee you there is not a dolphins fan anywhere saying at the start of the year "boy I hope we go 8-8 this season"

They're not a good team. They don't have a good defensive backfield and their offense has very few weapons.

To the people who voted "Yes" in this poll:

Do you really believe that the team is so bad in general that you'd expect it to get beaten soundly by the Titans at home a significant percentage of the time?

We have Wr's who don't score Td's and a secondary that refuses to create turnovers.

I like the Wr corps more then our Db's/Lb's.

I don't think the vast majority of the fans enjoy seeing the Dolphins continually being a mediocre team, year after year. I just think that many of the Ireland supporters are willing to accept mediocrity from him as a GM and that is why they continue to support him, even though the team continues to play sub 500 ball, year after year.

I think the majority of the fans want to see Ireland replaced and for the Dolphins to once again rise to the level of play we saw during the Shula years. I just have to question how much of a true fan a person is if they can't see that Ireland has failed as the GM of this organization.

You can put down the bottle now and go to bed. You certainly have to be drunk to believe this offense can score 51 points on any defense, even the Bills. Maybe they can score 51 against one of the locale high school teams, but I'm not sure about that either.

I was being a smart ***. Don't drink. Never touch the stuff. If you saw the story line Bud Abrams issued an ultimatum to the Titans last week and they responded by blowing us out.:knucks: This offense is sad and gets worse each week it seems like. I am not going to go crazy and claim the sky is falling but damn they looked rough today.
