I still have no idea how Nanee fumbled like that. It was like he had a seizure and almost tried to knock it away from himself. If we keep that ball with that field position I don't see us losing that game in overtime. Maybe I'm stretching it, but there wasn't that much time left in the game.

Everyone does it. No one is completely in your face truthful every time. It could just be the 'straw that broke the camels back' - it doesn't mean there's any subtefuge going on.

I think Reggie Bush was being a little melodramatic during his post game comments. Coach Sherman said he didn’t even know that Reggie was benched and that having having him in the game for pass protection is not a priority.

Thomas had 10 touches, Miller had 5 and Bush had 5. How many did he really miss out on?

gotcha. I would agree if I was certain if he was doing that with Reggie. I agree about CJ, just don't know if that's true about Reggie yet.

There's no way to know how much he missed out on, because Reggie's run could've resulted in more yards/first downs than Daniel Thomas' runs. I think he only got 15 snaps though.

Reggie Bush getting benched probably isn't just because he fumbled. His vision has been an issue, and it appears to have very much been one the coaching staff has been aware of.

No problem from me at all with the benchings.

Incognito we know is a lunatic on the field.
That type of player you need to reel in every once in a while and remind him that he can be as aggressive as he wants between the whistles but it ends after the play. Kudos to Philbin for sending the message.

Reggie Bush needs his head deflated every once in a while and you can't just ignore big momentum killing plays like fumbles.
Again, kudos to Philbin for being willing to send that message.

That said..... for the rest of the game no players or coaches get Kudos for anything.
    What an arse whipping.

I think with Bush the message was, for various reasons, not just limited to the fumble, "you are coming close to no longer being our starting running back."

Which would be fine, except Lamar Miller is the second best RB on the roster. He should get the carries.

What I saw was different and they showed it on the coaches show. First off, Incognito was benched on play. Garner came in and his guy ran right past him and sacked Tannehill, was not even touched by Garner.

If anyone bothers to look at the game they will see Richie pulled thru the hole by RG and upon doing so the LBer believe 52 cut Incognito. Yep, the lber cut Incognitos feet right out from under him. Upon getting up Incognito shoved the guy in obvious dispeasure in being cut. It was no more then a shove but the LBer played it up pretty good. I have seen worse with no flags.

Anyway Incognito was pulled, for one play. I did not see him go to the bench at all, just stood by Philbin. They called a FG the next down and they kept Incognito out then realized he was on the FG unit and had to call a time out to put Incognito back in. That was it actually, one play out. Philbin appeard to be speaking with him after the Fg then Incognito went to the bench with the rest of the Oline and went in when we had the ball again.

Bush was benched for fumbling and running backwards. Losing yardage is a running back cardinal sin.

I can't start a thread cause I'm a troller on your board. But I'm not here to talk trash. I think Thursday will be a good game (between two crappy teams). The reason I'm on here is that I just don't get your coach, I watched hard knocks and the guy came off as a total douche who acted as if he's been in the league as a HC for 20 yrs and has multiple Lombardi trophies by disrespecting players. Anyhow I have bush and Thomas in FF and even if bush is in the doghouse why has he consistently played Bush as the two down back and Thomas as the third down back, it makes no sense, If Bush is anything it's a great third down back being he's probably the 2nd best receiving RB outside of Sproles.

Yes Reggie has played like crap since the jests game and fumbled 3 times over the last 3 games, so yeah you bench him and give Miller a chance maybe Reggie wakes his *** up, it is a contract year for him, show what you can do.

I have no reason to quote this post except you were the person that was thinking Philbin is looking for a reason to get rid of Reggie, or however you worded it. I know you said it was similar to how we got rid of CJ.
Anyway, just wanted to paraphrase what I heard on NFL Network. Someone asked Philbin about him benching Reggie. Philbin said people are looking too far into that. He said Reggie is our man. He's our #1 RB, we will continue to substitute our other RB's, but nothing's changed.
I think that puts your theory to rest, unless you think Philbin is saying the politically correct football things when asked about a player. lol
